Would I have had a chance? Terrible GPA

Would I have had a decent chance at Cal Poly (and SDSU) if I applied?

2.7 GPA (I explained this in essays for other colleges)
2020 SAT I, 640/620 SAT II’s
Decent ECs; working on Eagle Scout project, track for a few years, summer part time job, 90+ hours volunteering.

Yeah, I realize my GPA is terrible. Some people said that I should apply to CSU’s, but they mainly admit on numbers, so I thought I wouldn’t have a chance.

I just want to see (what would’ve been) my chances so I don’t look back and say “Would I have gotten in? Argh, why didn’t I apply!?”

I think the numbers only admissions would have worked against you bobo1265

I got accepted by SLO and rejected by SDSU. My unweighted GPA was 2.7. I had 13 AP/H/CL courses though, so that made my weighted GPA a little better. I had the same SAT score.

congrats kp.eric…it is SDSU’s loss and CPSLO’s gain to have you. Your SAT scores are impressive. :)

Hey, I worked with someone who had similar stats who applied to SDSU on a whim and got in. SDSU class of 2010. He loves it. :)

my friend got into sdsu, and her grades are so so. it’s sort of unpredictable.
