Hey guys, so the issue of mine is that I did some robotics on my freshman year but stopped it on my sophmore, so the question “would it be late to start robotics again on my junior year?” Thank you!
No, it’s never too late, but it might be risky for your primary extra-circular to be something that you picked up and lost interest in during the course of high school. It it is simply an addendum to your current application than it will be nothing but useful, but again, if it’s your only extra-circular, it may be problematic. However, there is no reason that you should get back into it.
You should definitely start back up again. I didn’t do it as a freshman, but decided to pick it up as a sophomore. While I wish that I had started it freshmen year, I’m glad that I got involved since its better to start later than to never start at all. You can learn a lot in just one year on the team, so I would go for it, no doubt.
