would my extracurricular activities help?

<p>i am from nepal…and i had made motor boat when i was in class 10 and i am building humanoid currently(nearly complete)…but will these things help me at all to get in good colleges in us?as i would like to join mechanical engineering</p>

<p>I have 6+ projects like these or even better ones, nearly decent SAT scores, lots of other decent activities and tell you what, I feel like I won’t get into any good colleges.</p>

<p>Send a portfolio of your works and if possible the research/project papers to the colleges through snail-mail or maybe slideroom… It will be of great help if its good and original…</p>

<p>you can always rock your essays! Resonate your interests with the program at the college.
If you can make a cohesive application with your interests and the opportunities available at college, you are in.
Of course, be sure to have decent grades to submit as well.</p>

<p>And remember ashesh, if you are applying to elite colleges, do not worry about the SAT and scores. You, of course, need to be at a certain level. (SAT anything greater than 2000 with at least 600 in CR for Nepali will be good which i don’t have :stuck_out_tongue: .) After this what really counts is your ability. Try to point out ur abilities through supplements and essays. (Saroj Kandel dai, who got into Harvard MIT Penn Stanford Williams etc did the same.)</p>

<p>Yes i made it on my own and alone…i do also have it’s news published in national newspaper… if my robot will work then it will also be very unique robot as there is no or might be one or two walking robot in our country…you know the condition of nepal…thank you very much…i will also work hard for my studies</p>
