Would the November score hurt much?

I applied for UVA EA,with a SAT superscore of 2230(CR690,MA790,WR750)
I took SAT again in November and got a 2300, CR760, no change on MA and WR.
I do not know whether the admission office can consider the November score…although I sent the score ASAP by RUSH on Collegeboard after it came out…
So what do you think? Will it be a serious problem?

I’m not sure I understand your question. The CR score is higher and the M & W are the same. How would this in any way hurt your application? The more accurate question is will it help/be counted? The last recommended test date for EA is October, and then if you select UVa prior to the test not after you’ve seen the scores (which slows delivery, even with rush status). Having said that, your application will most certainly have had at least a first read by now, it’s late December. Those scores won’t show up until almost January. If they’re in your file when being reviewed the new scores won’t be ignored. Keep in mind SATs are one part of a big picture, with your transcript being the largest part of that picture.

Best of luck!

In rereading your post I realized I was misunderstanding your November scores for December ones, just released (my S3 took them so on the brain :o ). The same applies, just back it up a month. Your application would have received at least a first read, November scores sent after viewing with a rush at the earliest arriving early December. Upon next review the new scores won’t be ignored. The SAT is one part of your application. Dean J used the analogy of a puzzle earlier this week, with your transcript being the largest piece.

Again, best of luck to you.

So you mean that on the second review, the score I sent by rush on Nov 20th will be considered?
Thank you!

Austin - I’m going to defer to Dean J’s blog to let you hear her answer on this directly (note that her response assumes the Nov scores have been selected prior to taking the test and arrive earlier, as opposed to waiting to see the scores, then sending them which delays delivery):
