Would this be thought highly of to do?

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, since I don’t have much time. Would being a co-author (1 out of 2 co-authors) of a successful medical book (already have a publisher, and few universities pledging to buy the books), mainly written by a experienced and highly looked upon doctor be thought of as a nice extracurricular? Would it be something that stands out? Under what category would it fall under (research, community service etc.)?

I’m currently in my sophomore year of high school, if that counts for anything.

Thank you in advance for anyone who helps me out here. :)

Bump

I’m not sure how fast this forum is, so I don’t know when to expect replies.

Yes definitely! I don’t think it would fall under community service though. “Academic” would probably be the category it would fall under on the Common App. Do you plan on becoming a doctor?

Yeah, I was just using research and community service as examples. I’m still figuring out what career path I’m going to take, however It will definitely be associated with Math/Science. If I was not planning to become a doctor, would helping to write the book have no impact on my admission? (If I was to become an engineer/physics etc.)
