What a coincidence, class election is before when the acceptance notice come out.</p>

<p>That’s tough. I really don’t know anything about the North Carolina school but I just googled it…I’d say that North Carolina would be more impressive because you can still participate in ECs there and get some leadership positions hopefully?</p>

<p>Do what’ll make you happy, not what the people on the Harvard and Princeton subforums of CC think looks best. You shouldn’t need someone else’s approval on how to run your life and you shouldn’t live it always looking to the next thing.</p>
<p>Frankly it depends at what you like. Me for example, I love the student gov’t in my school (we have a whole class for it and actually do stuff), and my school is really low quality. So if I stay, I could be val and class president.</p>
<p>MissGen<<I get what you are saying. It’s one way to challenge myself. If I do things whatever it happens, I probably wouldn’t able to accomplieshed what I have accomplished so far. Heck why not sit around on couch watch TV whole time and thinking that’s extracurricular, but you know it, it’s super easy and probably may make me happy temporarily but not the best way to spend my extra time. It’s way of challenging myself.

<p>I really feel sorry for people like you who mold their lives around being accepted into an Ivy. That seems like a miserable way to live, especially if you end up rejected and you look back and realize you could have done so much more in high school that actually interested you. I only did what interested me, and I was accepted to all of the colleges to which I applied. Why would you want to go to a school that would only want the “resume-building” version of you instead of the real you? You would probably be happier at the college that accepts the real you. Besides, no one REALLY knows what the Ivy Leagues want each year.</p>
<p>Swimmer, I can honestly say that I’ve joined all my extracurriculars for personal enjoyment. The fact that they’re going to help me get into college is a nice bonus, but I think you should do things that make you happy. If you truly enjoy something then there’s an impressive way of doing it.</p>
