Would you pay for a wedding if your child dropped out of college?

@ Shiloh - This is an update of good news from the OP. Please read post #173 written over 2 1/2 hours prior to yours.

@ lotsokids - I’m so happy for the renewed path of communication between you and your daughter. She obviously saw your sincerity when you spoke and trusted your acceptance. Life isn’t always a straight path. Your daughter is lucky to have you by her side as she goes through life’s challenges.

Congrats, Lotsofkids! It’s wonderful that you just planted the seed and let your D figure out her own path forward. She sounds like a bright and very caring D. Good that you and she have such a close relationship and you allowed HER to see the red flags herself without you ever having any ultimatums or shoving her or damaging your relationship with your D. How happy you and she must be that she is back home and back taking courses. YIPPEE!!!

So glad to read this update. I wish your daughter every success with her classes.

Great update! Good for her (and for you!) Happy to read this.
