Hello everyone, how are you all today? I hope everyone is well.
Seeing other people ask to have their schedules rated, I decided to ask too. I am a rising ninth grader who will attend Westfield High School, a high school in Virginia. Therefore, this will be my ninth grade schedule. To let everyone know, just in case, in my school, they do not allow ninth graders to take any AP’s.
I apologize if this is a distracting question or if this is rude in any way.
English 9 Honors
World History 1 Honors
Geometry Honors
Biology Honors
Health and P.E. 9
Freshmen Orchestra (The orchestra 9th graders start out in.)
Spanish 2 (Sadly, my high school does not offer any honors world language classes…)
I again, thank everyone for taking your time to read this and help me. Have a good day!
@anthonytheboy I’d give your schedule a 9/10. I also go to a school that doesn’t really allow freshmen to take any APs. You’re schedule looks almost exactly like what my freshman schedule would’ve been like, expect I would’ve taken Spanish 1 and PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design.
I’m taking Spanish 2 this year! BTW, what county in Virginia are you from? I currently live in Prince William but was born in, you guessed it, Fairfax.
A suggestion would be to look at all the courses you want to take for high school and to work backwards. If you want to take Multi-variable Calculus senior year what necessary prerequisite courses do you need to take. At some schools not all AP or advanced courses are available every semester. Also, each year cover the basic subjects: Math 4 years, English 4 years, Social Studies/History 3 years, Foreign Language 3 years, Sciences 3 years.
This is great! The most important thing is that you are taking courses which are difficult by your own school’s standards (not other posters on CC). This is pretty much the same schedule I had as a 9th grader.
@Wje9164be Thanks for the suggestion. I am aware of that, but I am going for the advanced studies diploma, and it requires 4 years of every core class except for P.E. P.E. is 2 years. Fine Arts is 1, World Language is 3, and Economics is 1. All of the AP courses in my school are a year length.
