If Meghan lost weight, they would have made adjustments the day before. Personally, I think maybe the complaints come from the cut of the armholes. Any tighter and her arm movement would be constrained. Also, supposed there are no seams in the bodice. From my view, not sure about on the sides, from arm to waist. So, just saying.
And if you missed the real 80’s, ski, you missed Dallas and Dynasty. Fewer women wore that extreme of shoulder pads. It was more like the pads you traditionally see in a well made jacket, even today.
Yes, I have sloping shoulders, and those very modest shoulder pads actually looked really good on me. I still have a few ancient favorite garments that I haven’t brought myself to part with that I won’t attempt to wear because they are just SO dated that it almost feels like costume dress.
I’m still super into all the 19th-century silhouettes – Empire, 1860 hoopskirt, 1880s bustle – but they do scream a particular era, so it’s hard to re-run them without looking like you’re wearing a costume.
Grace Kelly was the ultimate wedding look of all time IMHO. There’s literally nothing she could have worn that could have been more timeless. It would look chic and elegant tomorrow (reflected in the fact that Kate Middleton more or less recycled it to great acclaim).
I still don’t like Grace’s dress. But her daughter Caroline’s insprired me.
But yo get back to a prior thought, we can appreciate anyone’s choice, if it’s what they wanted. (Not counting ogling the craziness on Say Yes.)
