Wow, Harry and Meghan!

The CNN article has been changed and now says “Golden State.” It may have been CNN’s error.

Prince Carl of Sweden married a commoner, Sofia. I really liked her wedding dress( (by a Swedish designer) and diamond and emerald tiara. The pictures online and in YouTube of the dress and ceremony are really nice. A tearful beaming groom , s beautiful bride, beautiful setting! Prince Carl is so handsome too!

I just went to the library and always look in the new nonfiction section. Well, there was a book there-Grace Kelly Hollywood Dream Girl, and with all this talk about Grace Kelly, I just had to check it out! I’ve just glanced at it so far, but there are lots of very lovely and interesting pictures in it.

Someone posted a sketch on Instagram of Kate, Meghan, and Diana together in their wedding dresses - I’m on my phone so not sure how to link but easy to find by Googling. It’s beautifully done and all three women look lovely. Comparing the dresses, I’d probably go with Meghan’s but I’d do my hair like Kate.

Interesting sketch . I think the faces of Diana and Meghan though are more flattering than Kate’s. The dresses and flowers look very nice.

Wow, I’ve never seen a worse rendition of Kate.

That’s what I thought too, @dragonmom . Almost as bad as the renditions of Lucille Ball and Brandi Chastain!

Sorry to be pedantic, but he’s known as Prince Carl Phillip.

As did his sisters. And his father. And his great-uncle, which is actually an interesting story in itself. The great-uncle, Bertil, was with his future wife, Lillian, for 33 years before marrying, because he was 2nd in line (and later first in line), after his eldest brother was killed leaving his 1 year old son as heir to the throne. His other brothers lost their dynastic rights by marrying commoners and, at the time, women could not succeed to the throne.

Ugh, I detest that drawing and its IMHO misplaced sentimentality.

In the first place, I am the reverse of a Diana worshipper.

In the second place, there couldn’t be a bigger difference between their weddings: Diana’s husband was more or less being forced to marry her when he loved another woman. They were horribly ill-suited. And she was very young, immature, and obviously emotionally fragile if not unstable, while he was complying mostly out of a sense of duty.

Kate and Meghan were both mature women who married men who loved them, and they freely chose each other with clear eyes.

Well , I hate to be “pedantic” too, @skieurope , but it is actually Carl Philip, not Carl Phillip.

Husband: “I’ve got a coat of arms…no, wait. I have a coat with arms…”

“Ugh, I detest that drawing and its IMHO misplaced sentimentality.”

Scroll down further in the link and see all the other drawings if you want to see some overly saccharine sentimentality.

I’m not a big fan of combining images of people from different points of time into one drawing. I find it kind of creepy.

OMG @doschicos, why did I go back and look? It can’t be unseen! :-&

Agree, I had only looked at one sketch before . Meghan looks terrible in one of the other ones. I guess this person is looking to capitalize on the whole thing but if you want to do that, at least get it right!

Those pictures of Diana, Kate and Meghan togethrr remind me of the pictures of Santa praying at the creche.

Eew. The one of Harry in a globe, barefoot, jumping, is ridiculous. iGoogle the artist and you may get a sugar overload.

Well, that’s embarrassing considering he’s something of a man crush. Maybe that’s why he’s never responded to my emails.

He is certainly easy on the eyes!

Had to google Carl Philip. Nice!
