Wow, Harry and Meghan!

I am not a fan of Diana’s dress. However, in her defense, she and Charles got married in St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is a much bigger venue than Westminster Abbey. Westminster Abbey has a much more intimate feel to it. I think that she needed a dress of larger proportions to not make her disappear in the overhead shots.

I haven’t read the entire thread, but in case this wasn’t posted. The cellist comes from a musical family, his siblings are quite talented. This CBS news story made me smile.

I’ve been catching up on The Big Bang Theory and the wedding of Amy and Sheldon. The first time Sheldon sees Amy in her wedding dress, he says to her, “You look like a pile of swans.” It was a complement. I wonder if that’s how he would have described Diana’s dress.

I’m hoping for a painting of Diana, Kate, and Meghan playing poker in their wedding gowns…on black velvet…with Diana winning a “pot” of tiaras with a royal flush.

The cellist was breathtaking.

It’s not just that you think it; Diana and her wedding party knew it. That was, yes, part of the plan.

Rumor is the honeymoon is in Canada. But in the same breath, the report said any place someone names is off the list, for security reasons.

““Apparently [The Kingdom Choir] was Charles’s choice, apparently Charles recommended them to Harry and Meghan, which I was surprised at. I was told that by one of Charles’s member of staff yesterday” revealed Andrews.”

Perhaps they should have written that it was Prince Charles’ suggestion*

Late to the party here…

I watched the wedding. They seemed like a nice couple, very much in love, and I figured this was going to be the be-all of weddings. And I happened to be up.

From what I saw, this is a tough crowd here on CC. Or maybe I am just not that picky. Or not that knowledgeable.

I thought the wedding was wonderful. Every component, basically.
To me, the bride’s dress looked great. Very sophisticated.
Most of the guests looked well dressed to me as well.
.
I wish them the best. Including some privacy, somehow. Particularly for her parents.

When I first read an article about the cake baker I looked her up, and wound up buying her book. My wife made some chocolate cookies from it yesterday. They were delicious.

^^ The baker had worked in the legendary, iconic Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley. Another American connection to the wedding

@lookingforward One article I read said they were going to the Jasper Park Lodge. I only note it because that’s where I spent part of my honeymoon (though not in the 6K sq. ft. ‘cabin’ they’re occupying).

Link to the cookbook, please?
