wow..has CC become the new facebook?

Does anyone know if greenies can accumulate, or do we have a use them or lose them situation? If they do expire, could it be at a set time, like midnight? I couldn’t be online for long last night, so I repped three people I owed and thought I’d do the rest this morning, but now I’m told I’ve given out too much reputation and have to wait again?!

To the best of my knowledge you’ve got use or loose 10 in a 24hour pd. The longer you wait to use them they just keep pushing back when you get a new drop. So if you are used to getting a drop of 10 at 9am and distributing but the following day you don’t distribute until noon, the NEXT day you won’t get your drop until noon. If you give 6 out at noon and wait to give 6 out at 4pm, the following day you’ll get a drop of 6 at noon and 6 at 4pm. So I guess more accurately each of the 10 daily reps drops 24hrs after you previously gave it, be that in a bunch or staggered. I think I’ve got that right.

Regarding the new feature showing who the rep was from, I do remember romani saying she received a rep but attached was an unkind message. There’s no way to trace that without getting an admin involved, and certainly has potential for abuse. In that respect, and if there have been complaints of cc members using the anonymous nature of the comment to be unkind, then I get the new feature. If that’s why it had to be added, what a shame!

Ack! I am not permitted to rep blueiggie & jym yet. I’ve gotten off schedule & my rep drop has gotten pushed back.

Jym, O mighty queen of the limericks, come over to the [Lame-O Limerick thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/1448258-lame-o-limericks-college-confidential.html) and grace us with your lyrics & CC wisdom.

Lol to explain my comment a bit upthread, I had a few people leave nasty comments because they were anonymous. This was right when this whole thing first started.

Happy green day everyone lol

hey jym and all-just a quick personal update-brother now home but I am at his side still. I have completely abandoned my family and it is becoming an issue but my brother needs a lot of support. has always been his nature. still dealing w a lot of post quad bypass op pain. would never have survived giving birth! trying to get back to my own life but not having any luck yet. hope to be back on the cc wagon soon.

Thanks for the update dowzerw. Continued prayers for your brother and your family. I’m sure he appreciates your support, and your family will forgive your absence. ((((hugs)))))

dowzerw, your brother needs you more than your family right now. They will respect you for what your are doing. I am sending you green support.

Hugs to dowzerz and healing wishes to her brother!

Thanks to everyone for the song feedback. On my way home from Paris, where I was working on the sequel, Les Deferred.

I have to say that I’m a fan of the new non-anonymous rep system because it is easier to find people and rep them back.

Haha neuroticparent!! Sequel to be quickly followed up with the third installment, Les Waitlisted!

Thanks for all the info BI. I guess we’re all unwitting participants in an enormous experiment. If any of the powers that be are paying attention, I’d suggest the following:

1) Allow each person 100 reps per week. With the reps expiring Sundays at midnight, EST .
2) all 100 reps have to be different posts, but not necessarily different members. So if I like something that jym wrote in HS life (lol), and also something that she wrote in Parent Cafe, that’s okay, I can rep her twice, or more.
3)A repper can give no more than 20 reps for one CC’er per week, no matter how awesome you think their different posts are.
4)Allow My Control Panel to keep track of who gave all reps for the week, then clear the control panel screen at midnight Sunday as well.

I’m not a programmer, so maybe the above suggestions are an enormous burden on CC from a data load, Megabytes, blah, blah, gobbledegook kind of perspective (I am quite computer savvy, can you tell? :p)

I seem to now have some morning green and some evening green, I am sharing as I can. have chipped away at my goal and now need less than 2,000 to make it. Funny when greens first began it took days and days to accumulate a few hundred points, now we are piling them up so much faster. But it’s still fun.

Thanks for all the green! I tried to rep all that I could before being told to spread it around.

Feeling OK so far. Itchy and some stomach cramps but if this is the worse, then I will take it (although I have been warned about the blistering and the pain that accompanies it). I highly recommend getting the shingles vaccine when you are able to. I hear it is very expensive and that is why insurance will not cover it until you hit 60.

Sending the power of greenies to MTnest and dowserw’s brother :heart::heart:

Good to see bluggie and yalemom continuing their obsessive (ooops, I mean passionate) efforts to promote greenie understanding.

Hoping in the future we will get some notification when there is an upgrade to the GRS (Greenie Reputation System).

Lol, well I guess since you are a ‘psychmom’ you are qualified to make a clinical diagnosis of G.O.D. (Greenie Obsessive Disorder) :D

MT- Glad you checked in and are holding your own, hang in there, hope things get better soon. Dowzerw- sending hugs your way, you are a good sibling.

^ Just add it to the list…people are rarely a single variety of unhinged. ;)

I didn’t make Newsweek’s Green rankings.

Once I finally noticed the green boxes…yes I am a little slow  I had to find out what it was all about. All I can say is wow! but love that the GRS is creating new disorders such as G.O.D. and a new set of abbreviations that I have too keep up with! :)

I can perhaps make a preliminary diagnosis of G.O.D. based on the symptoms, but it is important to have greeniological testing done as well.

i heartily endorse this new diagnosis. Is it to be inluded in DSM-6? I’ll skip the $200 fee for DSM-5 because this is such a critical diagnostic entity.

I think jym and I and some others (Vtmom, SVt), will be able to pool our brain power, inspired by the green energy, to devise appropriate psychological criteria for testing.

There are many who simply do not believe in G.O.D.
