My son was deferred last year during the EA round and was accepted. In fact his original decision said he would be moved to the RD round but he received his decision by the end of February. He had sent a letter of continued interest as well as another recommendation letter. I can’t remember if he sent his 2nd quarter grades after the deferral or before. It was one of his top choices, but he ended up elsewhere. Not sure why he got his acceptance well before the RD admissions, maybe because he stressed it was one of his top choices, but who knows. There is still hope for your child!
