I am calling out for help from CC fashion gurus for help finding a wrap dress. I had a few many years ago and found them to be very flattering, especially around the mid section. I would like to find one for an upcoming wedding, preferably in a darker color that would hit slightly above the knees and with long sleeves. It doesn’t need to be a true wrap dress where it has the tie, I would actually prefer one without. Budget would be up to $150.

eta: I guess it wouldn’t be a true wrap dress without the tie, so I think I am looking for a faux wrap dress?

I was looking at Macy’s website yesterday and they have quite a few “psuedo” wrap dresses that are on sale with additional discounts for Veterans Day.

No suggestions, but thank you for posting your budget. I hate it when people post these types of threads but don’t give enough info - especially their $$ budget!!!

The problem I am having is those darn 3/4 length sleeves. It seems all the ones I like have them, which I absolutely hate! @abasket, although I love looking at the high end clothing on threads, I see something that is gorgeous only to see the price and literally gasp!

GA2012mom, if you are ok with shopping online and returning stuff, try Outnet for deeply discounted DVF wrap dresses (since it is a discounter, their site geAlso, look at Saks, Neiman, and Nordy’s - their fall sales are on this week. Do not dismiss those higher enders - some of their sale stuff could be within your budget.

BCBG true wraps have been problematic for me, because they don’t like to stay tied and therefore have to be constantly adjustride apart. I think a BCBG faux wrap styles would be a better choice. I like also Lauren dresses - there are some faux wraps as well.

I have this dress in many colors and love it:

@ Deborah T That is exactly what I am looking for but in a solid. I think the print might make me look even bigger. I am 5’7" and size 10, fortunately everything is proportioned but I think a solid color would be better for me…but I want those shoes! @BunsenBurner, I dont see that in a solid which is what I would like. I will check out those others, but you are dangerous…I loved that site yooks that you mentioned on another thread, but mostly out of my price range!

I think I will try that one after all, maybe the deep green color will negate the print. I would normally never wear hosiery, but I think I will go for the Donna Karan fishnet nude from the other thread and some platform nude pumps. This will be for a small wedding in Asheville, NC over Thanksgiving weekend. I originally was going to wear pants, but I was told that a dress was more appropriate for Temple.

On another thread a while ago, someone (maybe BunsenBurner) recommended the Lauren by Ralph Lauren faux wrap dresses. Whoever that was, thanks! I bought a sapphire wrap dress, which turned out to be a great choice for the wedding I went to.
