Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

@fgdfds- I didn’t get any notification from them and it’s been two days. I hope they have added the extra info to my application. Then again, there’s the possibility that my app’s already been looked over in which case the additions would be of little use unless I have been deferred.

Hey Eiswein, regarding sending updates/corrections, what do we do? Just shoot an email to the general admissions email? I just accepted to a new program created at my school and wanted to let yale know, if possible.

thanks!

I’ve been comparing myself to people in every old results or chance thread I can find. This isn’t healthy.

^ Dude, me too. December 15th needs to hurry up so I can move on with my life.

I emailed my regional admissions officer directly. Frankly, he’s amazing. It’s Black Friday and Yale has the whole week off for Thanksgiving but he still replies to my email within 1-2 hours to confirm that he has added the new info to my file.

^ Where did you get the email address of your admissions officer?

He emailed me a week or two after I submitted my app to clarify some parts of my supplement. I’d send you his contact info/email, but my area is over a thousand miles away from Texas ):

Is it not on the website?

^I can’t find it anywhere… maybe I’m not looking hard enough?

Wait, you guys think Coca-Cola semifinalists should notify Yale? I didn’t think it was worth it…

In that case, I also need help finding the regional admissions officers link.

They used to have the link on their website, but I guess they got rid of it. I can’t find it either.

oh never mind. Found it!

^Ah man, it says you should fax updates. I already emailed a letter to apply.questions@yale.edu - would it be a bad idea to fax the letter as well? Just in case the letter gets buried at the very bottom of their email when they return from Thanksgiving on Monday?

Gosh I can’t concentrate on my other apps. I haven’t even started my UC app , or any other apps other than Yale’s.

Well, I’m sure will be motivated to get these done come Dec 15 tho. (Except for the UC app, which is due in a few days… maybe I’ll end up not even applying there.)

^ Yeah I haven’t started any other apps either, but I should probably get Harvard’s out of the way this week. If I was lucky enough to get into Yale, I would still want to weigh that option with other schools and financial aid.

^But they give you a financial aid offer if you’re accepted. So if it’s good enough, I won’t bother applying elsewhere.

I saw the singing bulldog on youtube today!
Now I’m getting extremely anxious…

How’d you find it? I know you’re not supposed to post the link directly on CC, but what was the vid?

Just search “ivy dreams 9/10 admission decisions” and skip to 6:00.
