Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

“I’m getting my decision early morning of December 16th because of the time difference. Which means I have an extra 12 hours wait”
Strictly speaking, we don’t have an “extra 12 hours wait”…But I know what you mean.

Anyway… this is really stressful. Yale!!!yale…yale…yale…

Okay, if any of us CCers get in, we have to wear bulldog fur coats during Bulldog days. Yay for school spirit!

^
=D

Hm… we could all wear a bandana or something. Lol. Everyone would be “What the ----” but we’d be all “hey!!” and then everyone would be “how do they know each other?” and by that time, we’d be “yeah, isn’t it awesome we know each other??!”

Technically, I get decisions @ 4:00 PM because of the time difference!

I thought the worst part (at least of the opening scene) was the guys lying on the beach with their guts spilling out yelling for their mothers.
Yeah…

Wait you guys know what TIME the decision comes out? (What time DOES it come out?)
Gahhh I’m so nervous.

Oh h*ll naw I’m a vegetarian!!! + I don’t wear animals.
Ok that’s a lie I’m a vegetarian but I actually do wear leather shoes and belts. Oh well…

^ According to last year’s SCEA thread, 5:00 PM Eastern time. Which is 4:00 here. Which is right after I get out of school aaaaaaaaa

No fur coats please. :P

At the risk of sounding super ignorant, what are bulldog days?

Oh and I LOLed at the Harvard tshirt suggestion. It made me wonder though, is Yale everyone’s first choice?

^
All accepted students are invited to an event called Bulldog Days, where they can get a feel for the school.

A faux bulldog coat might work.

I’m afraid to let myself think of things like Bulldog Days and whatnot beyond acceptance…because I’m afraid of rejection/deferral and being super disappointed.

If I HAD a first choice, it would be Yale. If that makes sense.

Oooh fgsfds that means 2pm where I am. Yay!

Oh wait, crap, this means I’ll wanna check in school… I will either be really really depressed the rest of that day or like just super super happy. MAN. I just want to KNOW.

Bulldog days sound like so much fun! Even if i get in, I won’t have them though. (intl) :(

17 days to go now! I don’t want to think of the monster I’ll turn into if I’m rejected. I will probably drive everyone crazy with my depression.

quomodo- no, it doesn’t make sense. :stuck_out_tongue: Will you all kill me if I say I really, truly, honestly, deeply love Yale, but love Harvard a little bit more?

There, I admitted it. gulps I’m wondering if saying this on this forum is a very very bad idea. haha

I can reasonably imagine not wanting to get out of bed for a week if I get rejected/deferred. Gah…if only I didn’t have my physics exam the next day!

I agree. Yale is wholeheartedly my top choice. Kind of fell in love. :-/ Let’s hope it’s not unrequited.

I’ll be a wreck if I don’t get in. I know we’re not supposed to get too attached to a school, but I can’t help it. I think I’m going to end up crying on December 15th no matter what decision I get.

I agree. I got really emotionally attached to this school despite what everyone told me. I think there should be some metric on the application for determining the applicants who want to go there the most…if only that were easily quantifiable. :-/

^I hope my Why Yale short answer sounded sincere. It was 100% true and not geared towards what I thought the admission officer would want to hear.

Yale is definitely my first choice, and receiving a rejection/deferral will just make waiting until April 1st horribly worse

my interviewer contacted me today…apparently he never got the email from Yale so now I have a last minute interview!! tomorrow night baby! ACKS! so nervous

Haha, it was just a joke. And, YES! I’m also vegetarian! SCEA VEGETARIANS UNITE!

Ugh. Only 2 Alaskans matriculated last year, which means that maybe only 3 got in. That’s a scary prospect.

That also means you’re in a underrepresented area…could be a good deal for you.
