Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

If you get over its smell, Durian can be heavenly! I got over the smell because my neighbor has a durian tree in her garden  (I live in a tropical country).

But I’m pretty sure that old durian would have ruined any intentions of your having durian again…

So it turns out that my physics professor has been making mistakes on my tests, and I actually have a B in the class instead of a C! I feel a lot more confident about RD apps now (including my Yale app if I was to be deferred).

stats?? and 15 days left!!! fingers crossed for us all

Good luck to everyone!

O: ■■■■!!! 15 days!! The longest in my liiiifeeee…

And yeah…good luck to everyone!

Hey guys, I have a question. How many of you are actually going to go to Yale if you get in early? And if you do get in, are you going to apply anywhere else?

This forum won’t be the same afterwards…

I think the buildup/wait to results is as much fun as the decision itself.
I’m going to sincerely miss this excitement…

^^I would respond to Yale accepting their offer on the same night haha.

(I loved other schools too, but come on, there is no happier place than Yale.)

^^^ If I get in, I’m probably just going to apply to Harvard (my second choice). Though I seem to like Yale more by a considerable amount, I want to visit it before I make any decision.

well, if by some miraculous chance i get in, I will attend. i applied to duke, cornell, george washington, university of miami. tulanes my fall back school if i don’t get into yale, duke, or cornell

^^nne718, I think I’ve called you out on this before (and say it jokingly) but still:

TRAITOR

So what other schools have you guys already applied to as safeties?.

I’m actually going to another country for like 5 days next week so I’m hoping that would provide some distractions :)

Just think, the admissions committee might be going over one of our applications RIGHT NOW to make its final decision!!

yeah, if I get into Yale, I really doubt I will apply anywhere else. I haven’t sent in any other apps yet; I am going to wait until the 15th to decide. Another question, what percent do you think legacies make up out of the total applicants?

and Yale is my first choice, but I’m still working on other apps because the more I look at the stats of the previous years (grrrr to Silverturtle for crushing me (jk of course^^)), the more I realize I have almost no chance…

Still, I’ll enjoy these two weeks of hope! and who knows…

I’d probably end up going to Yale. I’ll have already applied everywhere by the time I get the decision back. I’m applying to UChicago, CMU, JHU, among others…

I haven’t applied to anywhere else yet. I’ll save that for December 15th, if necessary.

See, ccuser18? I’m not quite a traitor yet. I have remained loyal to Yale.

If I get into Yale early, I’ll only send in applications to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford & Wharton. Otherwise, I’ve got 4 or 5 additional apps to send.

^same Jersey13

A few months ago I had planned that I would apply to about 6 other schools if I wasn’t accepted (including 2 safeties) but that if I did get in I would only apply to my other top top choices. Now I’m not sure. I may not apply anywhere else if I get in. This may just be laziness and not wanting to finish the other apps though  gahh… I was so motivated when I was doing my Yale app, but I haven’t done anything with college apps since then…
