Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

well that’s what I reasoned… but I really wanted to get my apps done early, and I finished the Stanford app before the Yale supplement even came out. If I didn’t like Yale so much I would have done SCEA Stanford

So a ton of not smart/not hard working, not top 20 people are getting into all good schools. like we got 11 kids into ivies so far… and there are only 304 kids in my grade…

There are no more spots left for the rest of ussss!!!

That’s not a very convincing argument, yunmoonc.
There’s plenty of room for you and everyone else :)

12 kids from my school got into Stanford SCEA. It’s making me regret my decision to do Yale :(

^wow, what is your school called?

Stanford was a MASSACRE. Columbia decisions pale in comparison. The decisions thread is ridiculous.

stanford was not a massacre; if compared with past results threads, you will find it similar(ly harsh).

columbia on the other hand…wow, does columbia think the ‘c’ in hypsmc stands for it?

Penn was amazing. It made me feel so much better. 4 out of the 5 people I know got accepted, one deferred. Phew.

Let’s hope Yale isn’t so bad. fingers crossed

Both my friends who did Penn ED got deferred.

I just spent an hour looking over the Columbia/Stanford threads. And now I feel like crap. And am much more nervous than before. Yay college! :S

wow I just woke up from a dream (PST) and I don’t really remember what it was but it was about Columbia decisions - I think everyone I knew got deferred even though I know two that got accepted and one that got rejected… and it made me so scared :/

Not really, Stanford was pretty consistent with previous years. The only one that seemed weird this year thus far was Columbia’s.

Yeah, Columbia definitely threw me off.

Perhaps the people on CC aren’t as competitive this year?

Also, Stanford’s usually that bad? Scary.

Yeah, 3 people at my school applied to Stanford. 2 rejected, 1 deferred. Eek.

Stanford tends to prefer rejecting people over deferring them, so yeah it’s usually that bad.

~67% of CC Penn applicants were accepted in the past few days. Holy cow.

Yeah Penn is ridiculous. Stanford really isn’t that bad considering they have an overall REA acceptance rate of around 13%. I would imagine our decisions thread will look quite similar

Wow. .

hi all! I applied yale scea too (I know i am veryyyyy late in joining this forum). Does anyone know if we get an acceptance/rejected/deferral letter along with the email?
