@oderaz, welcome to the forum. I hope that it’s smooth sailing from here on out.

Why so silent? Speak out

Why so silent? Speak out :)

I asked this earlier, but is anybody else a big gamer? I’m playing through two games right now: Bayonetta 2 and Disney Fantasia.

Bayonetta 2 is a really fun action game, which is completely over the top and does not take itself seriously in the slightest.
Disney Fantasia is an interesting music game that utilizes the Kinect on the Xbox One. I’m having a blast playing through it!

Anybody else playing anything?

I got rejected from NUS. Weird thing is I withdrew my application, (and they acknowledged!). Don’t know but for some reason I am put off. Doesn’t the fact that they sent a rejection after I withdrew seem kind of mean spirited? I mean who needs that kind of baggage of being “rejected” so close to the 16th. Guess I should blame myself for even checking!

@Blueintheeyes, I don’t think it was intended to be mean spirited. I think two possible reasons that it happened: a software snafu or a lawyer decided that it was a good idea.

thank you @lxnayBob @paleselan

I cant believe there’s only six days left (5pm eastern time will be 3am next morning in Pakistan). How do you guys keep occupied? I was binge watching sons of anarchy and the season finale couldnt have come at a worse time. Any short term time consuming hobbies anyone?

I finished two seasons of Scandal in 3 days, and baked four dozen cookies

@chickenx How much did you get on SAT and SAT subject tests?

hey, I’m an Ugandan-American applicant from Louisiana applying SCEA to Yale. How many people on average apply from my state to Yale SCEA, and will being in a rural state help my chances?

I just checked my email and I got deferred for Yale-NUS. Apparently they haven’t received all of my application materials so my application won’t be evaluated until Round 2. I applied to Yale SCEA and I cannot wait to see the results!!! I’ve been anxious all week and the week is only halfway through haha

Good luck to all Yale SCEA applicants! :)

@mwesigwa I think for SCEA less than five. Three probably. By the way, I am an international too, how much did you get on SAT and SAT Subject tests?

@Dreamchaser50 - you are right that there are probably plenty of interviewers in the NYC area. But do you also know the sheer volume of kids that apply from the same area. Though there may be a lot of alumni in the area, that does not mean that a lot of them are interviewers. I can tell you that it takes a commitment to do this that a lot of alumni are not willing to do. Not having an interview will not affect their decision one way or another.

2210 on SAT, 770 Math II, 720 Lit, 690 History, 730 Bio. Wouldn’t have sent in the 690, but Yale wants all my scores. :-S

Before results come out next week, I want to wish everyone the best of luck!
Each of you on here is incredible. You’ve encouraged, supported and challenged me throughout this process, and I’m thankful for the CC community’s help!

Who believes that our thoughts, especially those who applied in last days and whose applications are probably not considered yet, MAY AFFECT THE DECISION?

@Eljui7 what did you think of my stats? I posted them on this thread a couple of minutes ago.

How do you. students from not english speaking countries, get those 22xx or 21xx results? I don’t understand. I literally memorized all 3500 Barron’s, Direct Hits. Sparknotes and Erica Meltzer’s Grammar book, Barron’s Writing Workbook, McGraw Hills. I have been preparing it from summer of 2012. I have 800 on SAT Math LEVEL II. BUT MY SAT IS 19XX. NOT MORE!!! HOW???

@mwesigwa I think you have great stats while mine ones suck. Please let me know нour sincere opinion about me http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1615900-harvard-yale-princeton-and-duke-chances-thank-you-will-chance-you-too.html#latest
