Yale Class of 2019 SCEA Discussion Thread

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! Go future bulldogs! :o3

@hhiiiiiiii thank you so much!!! you too!

@ditherer thanks!! i love it, i just started diving in school last year bc i was forced to quit gymnastics due to injuries
@hhiiiiiiii that sucks, hope you heal fast! i know how it feels - i’ve had way too many serious injuries for my age

@jmb121 Looks like you’re also on Mountain time! What state are you from? I’m in Colorado!

@sumobats‌ In my experience I’ve never been able to nap on command, let alone on a day like tomorrow! Though naps are always nice when they come along.

@paleselan‌ Yes indeed! Arizona!

Americone Dream Ben and Jerry’s, a warm blanket, and my spotify jams are going to get me through 4 pm tomorrow

what time do decisions come out?

5 PM EST from every source I’ve seen

Guys. I’m scared :(

I bought 2 quarts of ice cream for when decisions are out. There’s a problem, though. I’ve eaten through 1.5 of the containers already.

i can’t sleeeep

What is the first thing you will do if you get ACCEPTED?!

^ oh no… don’t go down this route. Please

I’m having a lot of trouble tuning out my friends and family friends right now. Everyone is being waaaayyyy too optimistic, so it’s hard to stay level-headed.

I wasn’t going to tutor my friend tomorrow but turns out she really needs it for her test. It will probably be around 6, so do you guys think I should look at decisions before or after I tutor her?

@artistgirl97 I feel you 100%. Everyone for the past year has been telling me how “it’s impossible for them to say no.” It’s amazing how little the non-CC world knows about selective college admissions.

@dreamchaser50 So many feels right now. Grandma is the worst, though. She’s just like, “oh my god stop talking, obviously you are getting in.” – GRANDMA PLS STOP, GETTING INTO COLLEGE IS HARD.

can’t wait for a yale rejection to ruin hanukkah, lol

4 friends into Princeton today and 1 into Stanford on Friday.
Y’all, I’m so incredibly nervous.

And for those concerned on the academic snootiness at Yale, I’m sure it exists, but I never got that vibe while visiting. On the contrary, everyone seemed so humble. I toured the campus with a friend who goes there, and as she introduced faces, she’d whisper different randomly incredible accomplishments they’ve made. Then, I’d introduce myself and say hi and they were the most normal and chill students I met at any school.
It was great actually. The environment and friendliness of Yale is exactly why I chose to apply early; it’s exactly why it’s where I want to call home.

@suspiciouscloud‌ my christmas is already pretty much ruined tbh but a yale rejection or deferral will just make me feel even more depressed
