@mindonmath123 I have Tor and there is literally no difference in the browser’s capabilities other than the scrambled I.P. address and access to hidden web pages. The portals just haven’t been updated yet; Tor doesn’t have any bearing on that.
To appease worried minds: NONE of the residential dorm buildings at Yale have air conditioning! So keep that in mind everybody. While some of us will be wolfing down ice cream in thirty minutes, at least we can console ourselves with that tidbit of information.
@an1620 the chance of getting accepted after a deferral is so small that I would treat it the same as a rejection. I really wish I hadn’t checked the link because if it’s true, it was a terrible way to find out…

@kuriosmind Not necessarily. It depends on a lot of things. If they want to reject you and would never actually accept you, trust me, they wouldn’t defer your application.

Okay everyone. I’ve been depressed over the past 2 hours due to the link incident, but with 20 minutes left until we know our fate, I feel like it’s time for some positivity in our lives!
You’re all incredibly accomplished high school students and I have no doubt that if not at Yale, you will fall in love with another school and thrive there! We all gave our best in high school and in our applications. The decision is highly subjective and it depends on chance, but it doesn’t mean that we won’t be accepted at other top schools and become successful in life! You all possess important qualities that I admire: responsibility, empathy, humour, and so many more! It was a privilege getting to know you all over the past few weeks.
