It’s a positive sign for sure, but does NOT guarantee anything Good luck to you! Hope its good news on the 28th.

If my interview went really well, should I get my hopes up?
Getting an interview this late means the AO is taking a close look at you, so you are on some type of bubble. Your chances are far greater than the 4%± of the general admit rate, but who knows if they are looking at filling 1 spot out of 10 or 5 spots out of 10. You will know for sure soon enough. Best of luck.
@BKSquared answered this question well… I know the wait is hard, but you’re almost there… less than 10 days and you’ll know. Hope you get in. All the Best!
Thank you so much!
getting really nervous about this now, especially as some have just posted on reddit about it recently.
Hi I was heard from by other that you will see your deposit payment option before you receive your decision. Is that true? And I’m wondering how much hours will be earlier? My friend said will be 4hrs ahead the announcement
Doubt Yale would do anything so obvious.
Okay thx yah I searched online there is no proof
They removed all checklist and financial portal . I don’t care but interesting
Is it that the offers would be only made to students who are interviewed? Do kids have a possibility of an offer if they are not interviewed yet? (especially in the international scenario).
yep, they do that every year, a week or so before decision day, to prepare for the decisions. Good luck to all of you!
Its true, we saw that couple of years ago.
The only thing I have heard that ever had any truth to it was the fed ex notice of a package from New Haven. This was valid in 2017 but think they have stopped that and send them out the next day now
Does anyone have more info on what % of deferred students get into Yale during regular decision? I been reading 5-10% but also read 20-30% (what seems high).
Didn’t get an interview as an intl. Am I cooked?
I looked at what the Yale Admissions Podcast said on this subject in this post:
You can see the full reasoning there, but I definitely think 5-10% would be more consistent with what they said.
I would not assume that. Of course most people will not get into Yale whether interviewed or not. But if your written application left them with no pressing questions about whether you were a good fit for Yale, they would not prioritize you for an interview. And we can’t know what they thought after seeing your written application.
Thanks, that is reassuring.
