Yale disputes OSHA's report listing safety gaps in lab death

My apologies for starting a new thread on this topic - the original thread about the tragic event was closed.

I thought I would post an update, since as of this week, OSHA has completed their investigations and issued a report which came under fire from Yale officials.

[The Associated Press: OSHA finds safety gaps in lab death; Yale says no](http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jOO_yfbXqYkoJWEL7FHYhEPMu-EA?docId=3000a3c57dba4d6e8bc5a80446ac18a6)

This is what Yale officials had to say in response to the letter:

[University Statement Regarding OSHA Assessment of Machine Shop Safety](http://opac.yale.edu/news/article.aspx?id=8787)

Nothing will bring the student back, but I hope that Yale is being serious about implementing additional safety measures instead of simply blowing the report off.

So OSHA can investigate, but they don’t have jurisdiction to do anything.
Can they refer to an agency that does have jurisdiction?
