hey, i’m the guy who posted the invitation screenshot on transfertotop25. for clarification, I am an eli whitney applicant, non veteran, and I have not yet submitted the StandOut. Truthfully it got lost in my inbox until I searched for it yesterday after receiving the interview invitation. I’m going to submit it today or tomorrow.

Has anyone else received an interview invitation? It seems like they’re earlier this year than normal? Also, my guess is they’ll do more than one round depending on how it goes. So hang in there if you haven’t received one yet.

where did you see this? i’ve only seen my post so far.

Hey! Someone commented that 2 ppl they knew got it. Someone else mentioned a friend too. All on reddit. You are the only one I saw that posted the actual screenshot.

I do not think that anyone else on this thread received the AO invitation. It’s still early so let’s keep waiting. I also remember seeing that last year it came out in waves.

got it. was that on the transfertotop25 or transferstudents subreddit?

yeah multiple waves makes the most sense to me. do you know if people got acceptances before the posted date last year as well? Or only rejections?

I don’t remember, one of them was on r/Yale.

Only decision that came before the deadline last year was rejections. :\

dang scary hopefully no notifications till may 9th then!!

Hey guys, I just submitted my SO. I was holding back due to scheduling conflicts. Honestly, the pressure was on, but it was a super awesome experience. I’d even go as far as calling it fun, hahaha! I feel pretty great about it all. At this point, I’ve presented Yale with the best parts of me, and everything else is out of my control. There’s nothing more to do than to wait. If I get in, fantastic. If not, I can hold my head high and say I gave it everything I had. Good luck to everyone, and please, please, please don’t lose sleep over this. You’ve done the best you could up to this point! Don’t let the waiting game grip you with anxiety. I’m in CA and it’s going to be a sunny weekend here. So I’m headed to the beach and will not let the unknown hold me back from having a great time in the meantime. Enjoy the weekend guys!

Awesome! I plan on doing mine tomorrow. Thanks for the amazing insight. I said it before but will say it again. The fact that we believed in ourselves enough to apply is already a win!!! And also, what a darn privilege it is to worry about getting in to one of the most prestigious universities in the world! We got thissssssss

I know we are all in the waiting game together for Yale EWSP, but in the meantime, did anyone also applied to other schools as well? If so, where?

I didn’t know I could afford to go back to school until late February so I only applied to Yale +

Tufts
Boston University
NYU
Stanford
University of San Diego
University of Miami (accepted)

I completely botched the StandOut interview so I’m already at peace with being rejected from Yale :grimacing: . It’s been an overwhelming experience to write essays in a short period of time about myself. My education was interrupted due to a pretty traumatic experience and it’s been a nightmare to revisit that time period in my life and attempt to explain myself to an admissions office. I’m just glad it’s over and looking forward to being back in school come Fall.

Proud of everyone for trying, no matter what the outcome. I’m also glad the EWSP exists at all. It single-handedly encouraged me to believe there’s a place for nontraditional students in an academic setting and led to me participating in this application cycle. Never thought I would return to a classroom.

Fingers crossed for all of you! I hope everyone finds themselves in a great program this year!

I know most people in this thread and also including myself is awaiting on the AO interview invitation, but it seems like if we don’t receive the invitation by this week or early next week, it might be a sign of a no go.. given the fact that the reddit screenshot shows as April 17th as the last scheduled date for the AO interviews.. :frowning:

I agree. If I don’t receive anything before the StandOut deadline I’ll just take it as a sign. Oh well!
