What is Yale-NUS comparable to? I know it has <5 percent acceptance rate but is it harder to get into Yale or Cornell over this school? Lots of Singaporeans are applying here so would it be easier if you’re a foreigner?
Bump
Yale-NUS is an amazing university… all people I know who get in (international students) have at least a 43 IB overall or above… I would say that is is comparable to Ivies in the US definitely.
Based on anecdotal evidence (about 5-10 former classmates studying there), Yale-NUS is roughly comparable in selectivity to the top liberal arts colleges in the US, and slightly less selective than the likes of the very top research universities such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford or MIT. The bar is also higher for international students than it is for Singaporeans.
