Yes I'm a tool, but chancing is fun haha

I got a likely letter out-of-state
and these were my basic stats

2200 SATs (700 CR 780 M 720 W)
GPA: 3.95 UW 4.65 W
Rank: 4th/568
ACT: 34
APs: Calc BC - 5
APUSH - 5
Psych - 5
Chem - 5
World History - 5
Spanish Lang - 5
SAT IIs: Math II - 760 or 780, can’t remember, think it was 760. Chem 720, US History 710

However, my bestfriend applied as well, and he was probably top 40 out of 560 or whatever, 4.2 or 4.3 gpa, 3.8 UW, 2160 SATs, 32 ACT and was an Eagle Scout, on ASB, starting varsity Volleyball player for 3 years on a team that won the regional playoffs twice, and he was rejected, so it’s pretty competitive.

I think what got me in was my essays to be perfectly honest. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I’ve been told I’m a pretty funny guy, and I wrote about how I don’t even want to go to college and I’d rather do stand-up comedy in all my essays, and I got a likely letter from UVa, Regents Scholar at UCLA/Cal, preferred Admission at Ross (UMich), and waitlisted then accepted at Harvard. But then again, I guess it could just be my stats. Who knows.
