I just discovered one of the windows in my dorm room opens!! Hallelujah man, I feel less like I’m in an insane asylum now!

Just wanted to put that here. hah.
I never thought I’d be in awe in discovering something so simple lol

Oh I really hate to do this… but…

You’re not allowed to open the windows to on-campus dorms. There is a $25 fine if they catch you. They’re supposed to either not open at all, or be nailed shut (for the old dorms where the used to open).

Aw, that’s too bad. I really wish we were allowed to open the windows… I totally felt the “insane asylum” vibe during orientation. :P

I know, I know - fire hazard, suicide hazard, et cetera, et cetera. All the windows are nailed shut except one. It’s still nice to have in secret.

Maybe you should live off campus next year.

Maybe I will! >_>

Scottish Rite is looking pretty good.

Make sure to lock that window …

Wow, that is absurd that they don’t open. Glad I’m living of campus. I love opening windows,

Yeah, rooms get stuffy if you never open them. Theres small windows at the top of the door that should open too, but of course – I mean that’s too far; The window is between the room and the hallway - cmon!

Not gonna lie, I opened my window all the time, but I didn’t open it more than halfway. When they started policing open windows more my second semester, my RA would just come by and tell me to shut it. No fine mentioned. but hey, maybe it’s different now.
