Yet another shoe question.

Now that we are into spring, but not warm yet for sandals, I needed just a basic taupe shoe. I didn’t want to wear brown or black shoes or boots with more spring color tops. I wanted something to mainly wear with jeans on the weekends that was more casual. I found these, they are so comfortable.

It looks too weird to wear barefoot yet, with a lightweight sweater or jacket. . Trouser socks with jeans? Seems too dressy. Thin patterned socks? Hmmm…not sure. Not ever worn that, but I don’t know what else to wear. Now I’m questioning if I should have purchased them.

I hardly ever wear trouser socks. I would not wear any socks.

I thought this thread was going to be about what show to see! Oh well, I Iike shows, but I like shoes too.

Thanks…I had 3 minutes left to edit my title. I went and googled images. Looks like there are a lot of people running around barefoot in their flats and wedges with spring long sleeve tops and jackets. It looks great in pictures, but weird when I dress and slip on shoes barefoot.

I’d go sans socks as well.

I agree with those saying to go sockless. Also, just wanted to chime in about how much I love Lifestride shoes. I have had a nightmare of a time finding professional looking shoes that I can actually walk in and they really fit the bill, for a totally reasonable price too. I wear my (black) wedges a lot and they’ve held up really well - they still look brand new.

I wear these all year round. I love those shoes, but even the lightest sock would look odd to me.

ETA - those aren’t the brand that I get. I went with the “silicone heel pad” thing in the search, then noticed this brand has a grippy thing on the outside instead of the inside. Hmmm. I wonder which keeps your shoes and socks in place more securely?

I would easily wear those without socks. I really only wear socks with sneakers or boots anyway. I think socks would look all wrong with those.

This is such a tough time of year for choosing shoes (and clothes). It can be so cold in the morning but warm in the afternoon. Heavy boots look wrong but it’s too cold for sandals. I like these wedges - I have some Anne Klein flats that I wear in this season that are one of the only styles that fit my narrow feet. You have inspired me to do some shoe shopping!

Personally, I would not go sockless in these shoes. It would be uncomfortable for me. I would wear thin socks or even dress socks. Even w/ jeans. But that is me.

Cute shoes btw. May look into them myself.

No socks. This time of year I wear athletic shoes and socks with my work clothes in the morning to walk the dog and to drive to work. When I get to work I slip on my nicer shoes without socks. By afternoon it’s usually a little warmer. The only shoes I wear socks with are running shoes (or boots).

I could never keep those liners on my feet!

This is kind of like that thread on pantyhose, which just aren’t in style right now. If you have to wear something, look for those little footlet socks that won’t show.

Ok…no socks it is! But it just still looks weird. I have to confess I put on knee highs Friday with my jeans and these shoes when I ran around and it looked so so so dated. I couldn’t wait to get home and take it off.

When it’s warm enough to go without socks…I wear sandals!

The ones I buy cheap at Target have a silicone grippy pad at the heel. I have some that are two or three years old. Wash in the little mesh bag with my bras.

Those shoes are so cute! Almost everyone I know, of varying ages, would wear those without socks. I couldn’t do it though. I feel naked with dress shoes for work and nothing on my feet. Plus, most importantly, my feet are always freezing, especially in an office environment.

I can see a lot of use for nude wedges, but I don’t picture that shoe with jeans.

I thought I was the only one, PG! I’d go with flats of some type for jeans, if I wasn’t wearing sneakers. As far as sock-not with those shoes. Only the invisible footies if anything.

I’m set in my ways… I’d wear nude knee high stockings with those shoes. But usually I try to find shoes that look nice with socks.

Those footie things slip off my heel in about three steps. I don’t think super glue would hold them in place.
