I imagine most of them, especially ones whose posts I like, to be pretty good looking. The reality of middle-age tends to make that rather less than true in real life - including for me.

I imagine the countless people referring to me as a “man”, “dude” and the occasional “Mr.” would get quite the surprise.

Don’t really know why that happens to me on online forums. Am I exuding testosterone? Does my sentence structure scream “OLD MALE FART”? Do people imagine me twining my moustache as I post yet another brilliantly masculine-minded post?

fendergirl, I imagine you as someone about 5’5" or 5’6," slim, with medium brown hair (long) and fair skin. You look a little like Fiona Apple in my mind.

Ah, WashDad, I should have guessed that you were a Prairie Home Companion listener. I have enjoyed your posts, the laid back attitude towards AP testing (among other topics), the Hawaiian shirts, etc. I wonder if we are related…

People tend to refer to me as “he” on CC. I’m not all that sure why, to be honest with you. Do I type in a masculine way? I certainly don’t look like a man!

I know that frrrph is a girl because she’s always saying that she’s not a “dude” or “man” but corranged - yeah, I had no idea you were a girl. How is anyone to really know though?

I mean would anyone guess that I’m a 6’3 burly 3rd generation lumberjack looking for a college education? I guess I had you all fooled huh… :)

I didn’t know frrrph was a girl, considering she asked me to marry her. (and I’m a girl, maybe she didn’t know that?) (I know it was just a joke, but still!) Everyone seems to think I’m a guy, too.

I thought my screenname was feminine enough (to say nothing of my writing…!), but every so often someone refers to me as the ambiguously-gendered “camel.”

I’ll give you a hint: I may be Swedish, but I’m not blonde, busty, or particularly tall. :p

Since we are in the Parent Cafe, it’s pretty safe to assume that we are all reasonably attractive, especially in the favorable lighting of the Sinner’s Alley Bar…it helps if you leave your glasses at home - no need for a few drinks to help blur your vision!

I’m 6’4" - blond hair, blue eyes and devastatingly handsome… :)

…(I wish )

It’s more like too short, too much weight, and hair that’s completely white in photos (but traces of former blondishness when I look in the mirror). I like lots of outdoors activities: skiing (downhill and backcountry), hiking, diving, caving, cave-diving, and even did a 25-mile mountain-biking ride Sunday (the hills were killers). So you’d think I’d look a lot different than I do.

Someone earlier posted that she pictures everyone about 10 years younger than they are in real life. That makes me think I would perhaps not like to meet any of you. :)

Perhaps a bonus would be picturing me 10 pounds lighter, as well.
