At Target today, a pop up Play Hut Princess tent and a Space Rocket tent…75% off. There will be very happy cousins next Christmas, and both collapse to a tiny size for storage.

^Aww, that brings back fond memories…my kids loved having their “forts” in the living room on long winter days. I remember building fires in the fireplace so they could roast hotdogs and popcorn and pretend we were camping. Storytime was interesting with the pop up tents, considering there were usually two kids and me, and a dog who wanted in on the fun!

Our D loved the popup cube tents…she had a group of three I think that could velcro together. Lots of fun, pretend camping, castle, fort, whatever. Our standard poodle generally wanted in, it got a little cramped, but it was a lot of fun. I’m hoping the cousins have as much fun in these…bought an extra for the Toys for Tots.

For those looking for trim fitting dress shirts at a reasonable price, I saw an add in a magazine in a doctor’s office for dress shirts from Paul Frederick: https://www.paulfredrick.com/special/shirts1.aspx

Dress shirts for $19.95 with embroidered cuffs. I haven’t actually ordered yet, since I need all four of my guys to give me measurements, but the add said good until 12/31, but it’s working for me so far.

Not sure how regional SteinMart is, but today they were having a big clearance sale with lots of items 50% off. On top of that, there was a coupon in yesterday’s paper for 40% off anything on clearance. So I got pants, top and big sweater for around $27. A nice work outfit for me.

I bought 80 dollar jeans for 18 and an 80 dollar dress for 10 from Express that i’ve been eyeing for forever- yay 40% off clearance! And a 120 dollar coat for 25. I was in an EXTREMELY good mood for the rest of the night.

My kids LOVED the popup tents & we loved that it folded flat & out of the way. It was great! Wow, glad folks are getting some amazing clothing deals!

Two sweaters at Old Navy, originally $25 each, on sale Monday night for $4.97 each, plus 40% off all “orange tag” clearance and a 25% off entire purchase coupon I received in the mail. $4.47 for both sweaters for my daughter-in-law.

Got our hotel room at the Federal Government rate for the upcoming convention–it will be $141/night instead of the MUCH higher rates we were considering. This is great and will help us have more money to subsidize a colleague who also plans to attend the conference. Will also have some funds for ground transportation and per diem and air. YIPPEE!

Hi
Looking for a Dakine Snowboard bag. Tour model. E bags has 20% off and free shipping. I am wondering if I wait a bit longer in the season the prices will drop more. Is 20% off the lowest Ebags goes?

If you purchase from eBags, remember to start from Mr. Rebates dot com. They’re offering 12% cash back plus coupon codes.

Amazon has 24 packs of scharffen berger 3 oz chocolate bars for $19 with free two-day shipping. Even at Trader Joe’s these are usually about $2.70 or so a bar. Bought a pack each of the semisweet and the 82%, and am seriously considering stockpiling more.

Be careful with stockpiling chocolates–in HI, the bugs will find them & have a field day. If you refrigerate them, they become discolored after a time. Thanks for the tip though; will have to consider it.

By the way, I just went to Amazon & couldn’t find any of those chocolates for $19 that you mentioned. Is there some secret way of getting that price?

HImom, I looked at those on Amazon earlier this morning and they were available but now it says, “Sign up to be Notified when this item becomes available.” Perhaps CC people bought them out.

Ah well, sometimes it’s not good to have too much of a good thing. :)

Yeah, the chocolate deal sold out. HImom, amusing to hear about a downside of living in paradise! The only problem I have with stockpiling chocolate at room temperature is when human marauders find it. These boxes are going into the freezer to keep it out of the hands of the varmints. Including me.
