Amazon is offering a $70 credit to your account if you open up an Amazon credit card. And this card gives you 3% off of Amazon purchases, along with no annual fee and other rewards.

I am sorely tempted…

I am sorely tempted…

I heard that today is free ship Thursday for many stores today. That’s a great deal, notrichenough! We have one Amazon card, but maybe my husband needs one too!

Wow, that is tempting…anyone have an Amazon credit card - pros/cons???

Amazon credit card deal sounds nice, but we have too many cards already, and we just bought a 55 inch TV from Amazon last week!!

@raclut, I agree with you, I refuse to force myself to buy extra stuff to make it to $99 for free shipping at Macys. I do notice for some stores online prices are definitely cheaper, e.g. Kohls, but I don’t think Kohls will match the online price at their stores, I can be wrong, but one time at customer service I commented about price online, the girl told me to “order online” for the better price. How did you get such good buys for the Sperry? Me and my daughter were at Lord & Taylor Black Friday, checked out all their shoes, Sperry was not even on sale!! My daughter loves Sperry. But I did get a Ralph Lauren sweater (on sale) and a leather belt for my son for $25 after the $20 coupon.

Is there a link to that $70 offer? I’m not seeing it on my Amazon home page…

Dunkin Donuts coffee. Our local DD was running a special…3 pounds for $19.99. I went through the drive through and asked for this. The clerk told me they were running a 4 pounds for $24.99 special…and then also gave me the senior discount. I got a large pumpkin spice coffee and FOUR pounds of coffee for $24.

Regarding the Amazon card, I wonder if the link that you saw notrichenough, was specific to you? I know that every time I go to my Amazon basket, it will show me a savings if we got the Amazon card. Which is strange since our default payment IS our Amazon card. That’s a great deal on the DD coffee Thumper! I remember buying some last year.

I like our Amazon card. I keep it with the computer and only use it for on-line purchases. Every once in awhile, I’ll see that we’ve got some money built up with the cash back and I’ll use it for an Amazon purchase.

Did a google search for “Amazon credit card $70” and found this mostly “rant” thread on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/forum/store%20card?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1RJQNXF8J189X&cdThread=Tx3VX5GFRGX1IWN

But still don’t see this offer on my account anyway!

I have a Macy’s story. I ordered a very nice dress shirt for one of my guys on-line from Macy’s. And yes, I shopped just enough to get that free shipping. The shirt was shipped separately so was in one of their white soft shipping bags. UPS left the bag next to our garage door outside. Another UPS shipment must have been dropped off and left between the front doors. My husband and I were at work, so this is pure speculation, but I think the second drop was left between the doors because they saw that our dog opened up the dress shirt and it was strewn around the yard! Our neighbor lets our dog out when we work, but she was only out for a (destructive) hour.

I called Macy’s the next day and whaddya know, they’re going to send me the shirt again, no charge! Meanwhile, I put a sign up next to the garage explaining the package eating dog and asking for deliveries to be made in between the doors.

If I go to www.amazon.com and scroll about half-way down, it is on the right side. It says “Get a $70 gift card instantly” and has a picture of the credit card.

Or maybe this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html?ie=UTF8&plattr=CBGWBD&ref_=br_imp

Also, amazon is offering free one day shipping today on a bunch of stuff. You might get lucky…

I really need to get back to work and stop browsing on amazon.

@notrichenough, I think you are just the “lucky” customer! Looking at Amazon both those ways only gets me a $30 offer! Your special day!!! :)

Huh… I did just spend a bunch of money on amazon, I’ve been doing most of my shopping there…

I always knew I was “special”.

Sorry folks, I assumed they were offering that to everyone. :-S

If I log out, I only get the $30 offer and it doesn’t show up on the home page. Try logging on to your account and see if the offer changes.

I have Amazon Prime, multiple kindles, and KindleUnlimited, so I guess we are pretty heavy users.

I’ve had the Amazon card for several years (I certainly didn’t get $70 for signing up, though!), and I like how easy it is to apply the rewards to purchases. When you check out, it always asks if you want to use your rewards.

Nordstrom sent me a pair of shoes in a wrong size. Bummer, because the shoes sold out quickly. Looked this morning, and there was one pair in my size! Grabbed it quickly and was really thrilled that it was further reduced, so it ended up being $50 cheaper! Hope they will be able to find that last pair.

Have any of you signed up for the Embark rewards at Banana Republic? Wow, what a deal! I bought a blazer there a few weeks ago - but used a 50% deal to get it. It was full-price to begin with. But, with Embark rewards, if someone buys your item within 7 days at a lower price, they credit you the amount on your Embark account. Somehow I ended up with $67 in Embark credit to use Dec. 15-21. My son and I went in yesterday, got a sweater for him and a belt for me at 40% off, and paid $3.10. They also offer you other “perks” for being an Embark member–free shipping, a personal style session, discounts etc. Great program (but I don’t know how they’re not losing $$$)

Wow–Embarq sounds like a great program. We find some nice things at BR.

The $70 offer shows up on my Amazon page …

If you have a MicroCenter nearby, they have the iPad Air 32 GB, wifi for $329. I just got one for my parents last week at MicroCenter for $359 so will go back for the price adjustment. This is not the newest Air 2, but still a great deal at $120 off.

This is an in store offer only, but I have heard that many people were able to get Staples to match online. Might take a couple of online chats to get a CS rep to do it for you; YMMV.
