So if your college son came home from college wishing he’d brought a dress suit, Macy’s is holding a one-day sale right now. Alfani is today’s in-store door buster, but there are other brands that with great prices.

A 4’ ladder. Good deal if not especially extraordinary. The great part was that I was able to get into the store to buy it today! Our trip to the mall was a bust. We couldn’t find parking. Food – win, ladder – win, company of kiddo – win.

Went to Belk today. They had their basic long sleeve knit tops for $9.99. Normally they are $24. I had a Belks $10 reward coupon and a $50 gift card my mom gave me for Christmas. So I ended up with 6 tops … total cost to me. $4.04.

Half off on Big Boggle which we’ve been playing for at least the last half hour.

Mr. B let me loose in a large Nordstrom today while he was checking out some photography gear… I bought a pair of shoes (what else is news?) off the discount rack, and Mr. approved! He thought they “had character”:

He shot down my fancy heels, but was really excited that I got these sandals. Go figure. You never know what he would find attractive! But I’m not complaining. :D

Good time to pick up a calendar 50% off.

Nice sandals, BB. were they on sale?

Thanks, thumper! Yes, they were 55% off!
I would not buy them for the full price. That honor is reserved for special occasion shoes.

My daughter and I stopped in Macy’s yesterday to look for a duvet cover for her. Instead, I got a king sheet set for $22! Sticker price was something like $160, but I can’t imagine they ever really sold for more than $100. I couldn’t wait to get them home, wash them up and put them on the bed!

Those shoses would be perfect for my son’s wedding, BB! Can I borrow?? :)

I bought very unexciting 1/2 price holiday cards and Chanukah candles today. For next year. Though JUST found my stash of holiday cards that we’d moved this summer. So this year’s cards went out a tad late…

jym, hey, what an idea - we can start a CC Sisterhood of Travelling Choos!
Would size 40 work for you? :)

I got lovely Xmas cards at bloomies, but no decent Hanukah cards. I think I will order them, as I did last year. Those cars had turkey’s on them saying, 'eat latkes '.

Delete. Oh why can’t I get my keyboard on ipad to work again?

Size 40, BB? European sizing? Or do I put both my feet in one shoe?

Good one - Sisterhood of the Traveling Choos!

Ooh! DD needed a few “business wear” basics. We found a blazer AND slacks for $45!! Insane prices at our local outlet store center. She also got a great pencil skirt and cute flats at J. Crew for 70% off. Yay!

j Crew has started up their 40% off winter sale prices again. I spent a fair amount on the sale before Christmas, but I’m taking another look.

@1214mom – J. Crew has been my ‘go-to’ store for a large percentage of my wardrobe for the past ten plus years, but they have really disappointed me this fall. I have had better luck at the J. Crew Outlet stores this fall. Very disappointing, as I would love to be out taking advantage of sales!

Purchased individual Christmas cards for $1 each from Papyrus at the mall.
Each card was originally $6 or $7 each.
Just got D a fluffy fleece bathrobe from Macy’s. Normal price $64, today’s price with tax and NO coupons, $13.40! Best of all it fits her and she likes it enough to wear it as she convalesces from her cold. Yippee!
