I am still looking for new purse, I love my soft leather one now, but it’s showing wear. My daughter found a new leather Versace tote for work at TJMaxx…similar to this but in tan, but 49.99. That was a nice price. http://bnyhandbags.com/product/kerrington-stripe-versace-satchel/
If anybody has Southwest flights booked for September, check for cheaper fares. Late last night I was able to make a (second) change to a flight that suddenly had a $49 fare Chicago-San Diego. My round trip ticket is now $108 and I have $169 credits for future flights. Some of the low low prices are still online.
Thanks, Marilyn. What a great deal. I just checked my flights, but I’m going over Labor Day weekend and my return trip is now higher than the price I paid last week.
I just ordered these Cheryl’s cookies for my daughter at school. It’s a sampler of six fall cookies delivered for $9.99. So far I’ve resisted ordering one for myself.

Here is an even cheaper Cheryl’s Cookies sampler – 6 of the most popular flavors for $6.99 delivered! http://www.cheryls.com/free-6-cookies-plus-shipping
My good buy happened last night. I ventured into the Messy’s (aka Macy’s) hoping that they would still have the Eileen Fisher linen cardigan I lost during my recent trip to east coast. Alas, they were sold out, but I found a wool EF cardigan with pockets that I liked. $278 originally, it came to $69! I used my $20 coupon off and paid $54, including tax! Yay. That was completely unexpected.
BB, I was eyeing an EF blue linen jacket at Lord and Taylor. It was on sale for $107, from something like $250, but when I decided to buy it, it was back up to close to 200. Now it seems to be gone. I’d seen the same one at Nordstrom for 160, which wasn’t cheap enough. Oh well… I missed that good deal.
BB-you’re in Seattle, aren’t you? Do you know about the “Green Eileen” store in Columbia City? It sells only second-hand Eileen Fisher clothing. It might be worth a look for the sweater you’re looking for.
I just got a good buy on Amazon. D was looking for some cute booties for school and found a pair of Zoe and Lucy (?) ones for $8, plus another $10 for shipping (they weren’t Prime eligible). At $18 that was still $140 off retail price, according to the site. They’re real leather and a neutral color that will go with everything. Not that she needed another pair of shoes, but that is another story…
I just got a pair of Hoka running shoes – which normally run for $160 – for $75 at Sierra Trading Co., with coupon.
Thanks, SSeamom!
Bought D a pair of capris off the clearance rack at TJ’s for $15. They were not terribly $$$ anyway but she is happy and they look great on her.
TJ’s? It can’t be Trader Joe’s?!
zip=TJ Maxx, lol.
Lol!!
Food: TJ = trader joe
Non-food: TJ = TJMaxx.
TJMaxx!
Ack! Thanks.
So I found a good buy but it’s not right for me but will share it here in case anyone else can benefit from it…
I was crusing Athleta this morning and came upon this hi-lo “maxi” dress - a great price! And I think it’s super cute and casual but the top won’t work for me - I love the styling of the straps in back!

Originally $118, now $27.99 and available currently in lots of sizes.
I know not as exciting as the above deals, but we just ran out of Penzy spices, and miraculously an email arrived this morning, about free shipping on $20 order, plus free jar of new Penzys pepper worth $6.95
Free shipping on $20 order only good til Sunday.

Have been using fox point, sunny Paris on corn on cob- every veggie stir fry, on eggs-potatoes-
These are what I replaced- hate usual free shipping on $30 - so I jump at these deals …just sharing. ![]()
Penzeys charges quite a lot for shipping to HI, so sadly we’ve never tried them. I do need to replace all the spices I still have in our home from when I was in college–in the 70s and have slowly been tossing old ones. As we need new ones, I just buy a bit more than we need at the health food store in bulk and keep the extra (tossing the old stuff).
I bought Icebreaker wool slacks that are washable (yeah!). Normally $179, on sale for $63.
They had to be hemmed, but it was well worth the savings and now I have a wider variety of temps I can tolerate easily without having to put on thermals that may cause me to overheat and are another layer. These are the first pair of washable wool slacks I’ve had (have gotten H many over the years but harder to find them for women).
Talked with customer service about my usual sizes in Liz Claiborne and she suggested two sizes to order and send back whichever one doesn’t fit (or both if neither fit). Ordering 2 put my total over $100, so got free shipping and free return of the one that didn’t fit.
I think they must offer this twice a year - always a good deal if you have a Sam’s club nearby: https://www.livingsocial.com/deals/1492048-sam-s-club-plus-membership-fresh-food-offers-20-gift-card-more?cvosrc=email.blast-us.digest_dailyus&utm_campaign=digest_dailyus&utm_medium=email&utm_source=blast Cost is $45 and that’s for two memberships (supposed to be same household)
