Saw a commercial today for AT&T that said they are offering a 15 GB Family Share Plan (no contract) for the same price as the 10 GB plan. I am currently on the 10 GB plan so hopped on CS online chat and they changed my plan over to 15 GB for no extra charge and no contract.
Now, whether or not any cell phone plan is really a good buy is debatable but when I can get something extra from them for nothing I will definitely always take it!!
I had dropped back to the 7 GB plan to save money, but I upgraded to the 15 GB (at the 10 GB price) so now our family shouldnât have to worry anymore about exceeding our monthly data. Thanks for the tip! I heard they offered this last November but I was too late to hop on it.
Iâm wearing my âgood buy of the dayâ from yesterday! A darling Max Studio shift dress - black/white/turquoise patterned with very short cap sleeves - found for $5 at TJMaxx yesterday. Itâs cute alone but paired it up with a lightweight thin black 3/4 sleeve cardigan and beige flats for work today. $5!!! LOVE it!!
Love that dress in the colors you purchased it inâhave never found a dress for $5 anywhere. Our TJMaxx is much more expensive than our Ross, but neither has clothing for such great prices! The cheapest thing I bought was a nice tank top for D for $5.99 - 10% SR discount at Ross. What a find!
The colors shown are not quite my colors, but it is cute. I tried on another dress for $5 - sometimes they randomly clear out dresses ridiculously cheap! - but it didnât fit well on top. Gotta check those clearance racks! Sometimes it is the random âroundâ racks that are hugely discounted - not the clearance right by the dresses. My D2 spotted it - and her reward was a darling striped shift for her!!! Two dresses, total price, $22!
Wow! I found a dress for $12.99 that I wore to a bridal shower. Was very surprised to find it but it fit nicely and was different from others I had in my closet.
I had booked a rental car thru Costco (LOVE THEM) for 11 days. When I originally booked in January 2015, the cost was $358. In July, I checked/rebooked and the cost for the exact days, same full size, Budget rental company, everything-- went down to $261.
Today, I checked again, and it went down to $222.
I booked early as this is for a BIG football game in a SMALL town. Normally, the price has not dropped for any college football weekends. Will check once more before we leave, but happy with results so far
eta: Goskid #1âs car went down (for only 5 days) went down from $131 to $112. Iâm guessing the savings will go towards the refreshments after the big gameâŠ
Yes, I often book with Costco and keep checking. I have noticed that 2 months to 2 weeks out tends to be the âsweet spot,â when the prices are often around the lowest theyâre getting, but itâs so easy to check, make new reservations and cancel the old ones. The savings really do add up, especially when we rent cars several times/year.
I agree, re clearance racks. I was in Marshallâs 5 years ago, never really looked at them (usually picked over) but saw a black dress on the end, wrap-a-round, slight swirl at knee, fit beautifully and was 40.00 on final clearance. All the top name stores I looked at, found nothing I liked, 2 seconds walking through store to buy towels, there it was. ; )
Along with clearance 15.00 sandals, a borrowed purse and shawl, I had the nicest outfit for the cheapest price Iâll ever find I think and many compliments.
You never know where the bargain will be.
Actually this was my good buy of Fri. Weâre planning a trip to DC for a convention and to visit S2, and Iâd seen fares as low as $198 RT for the times we wanted to fly which was a decent fare, but I waited to see if theyâd go lower. Well, late afternoon Fri I saw a $147 RT fare and figured that would be as low as the fares would go. Unfortunately, we had to leave for S1âs rehearsal dinner (since we were hosting, we couldnât be late), so I figured Iâd wait til we got back to the hotel and hope those fares still existed.
We got back to the hotel, I got on my tablet and the fares were still there. But the hotel wifi wasnât very good in our room, I kept getting error messages, and was having a very hard time completing the transaction. DH told me to wait til Sat morning, but I knew the fare wouldnât still be there by then. It took me an hour of trying and retrying, but I got those fares. As one of S1âs friends said, I spent an hour to save $100. Frustrating, but satisfying.
I have Verizon, and they are required by the Feds to allow your phone to be used as a mobile hotspot. So whenever I run into spotty wifi I just turn on the hotspot in my phone and use that. As long as you arenât streaming video, it doesnât use that much data.
Not sure if other carriers let you do it for free or if you can get an app, but itâs worth looking into.
One of my best buys in the summer is limes as I go through a lot of them making pico de gallo, drinking Coronas and making margaritas. The Mexican grocery stores in the city sell 13 limes for a $1. Local grocery store price is usually 3 for $2. Avocados were $.69 at the Mexican grocery store so itâs hard to beat their prices.
Abasket, thanks. I had just ordered a pair of the toms Avalonâs from Nordstrom. The price at the surprise sale was cheaper and Nordstrom gave me a price adjustment. It was only 5 dollars but âŠ
Thumbs up Deb!! I canât decide which pair to get! Sandals are adorable but not much time left to wear them!
Both my girls got right on it though when I sent them news of the sale and they placed orders - free shipping for orders over $25 - thatâs great (sales final though I believe)
