I Bought my Ethan Allen dining room set at a nice furniture consignment shop. It’s still being sold in the store so I think it was a great deal.
Years ago, I bought brass and glass, very expensive, Ethan Allan coffee table and end table for a total of $300. They were still selling in the stores for a total of $1800. I’m sick of them now…but is has been 20 years!
Couldn’t decide which one to get so I got this Michael Kor’s purse in two colors. (one in red and the other in turquoise)
On sale today at Macy’s and online. Registered for their emails and received a coupon for 15% off a $100 purchase and got this purse for $44 each. When I receive them I will decide on which color I want to keep. Lightweight and has lots of pockets.

Today at the thrift store I got a set of Twin XL sheets, new, for $3.50 so one of my kids will get a new set. I also got a new Lands End bathing suit for $2.50. I couldn’t find it in their catalog, but a similar one was $79 on sale, originally $114. Good day at the thrift store.
My husband lost some weight and was in dire need of some new slacks/shorts. This past week I bought him 3 pair of casual pants and 7 pair of shorts for $102.00 including tax. I thought he would say that I went overboard, but he liked everything. It included several pair of Chaps and Izod brands, so they were all nice shorts. The receipt said that I “saved” over $500. I was happy!

FYI - finally order Cheryl’s after all the recommendations on this thread. Exterior packaging intact but four of the six cookies were smashed . Called and they’re sending another package but glad it was not a gift to someone.
I’m glad they “fixed” your order MAB222. I ordered from there several times and never have had a problem.
I ordered the cookies also. I almost ordered 36 for 29.99, but since my son is kind of picky and hasn’t tried them, I stuck with the 6.
This isn’t a good buy for today, but just a tip. Bed Bath and Beyond usually lets you use their 20% off coupons on anything, if you take them into the store. For example, the coupon may even say Breville isn’t included, and on-line they won’t let you order Breville, but in store, no problem.

My high schooler wanted the $150 TI-84 CE Plus calculator which has a color screen and is a decade newer than her TI-83 hand-me-down from 2005.
She told me that classmates found a *Target ad in the Sunday newspaper a few weeks ago for $80 and price-matched it at Best Buy. *Target retracted the ‘too low’ price as a printing error.
I looked online last night and found a Walmart ad for $88 and went to Best Buy (the price at Best Buy was $149). It was very easy to get the price adjustment at the register.
(I did spend an hour trying to buy it at Walmart first which had 12 in stock but none on the shelf and no one could find them and the people who unload trucks were on dinner break).
@abasket Received both purse and having trouble choosing which color to pick. I love the blue but daughter says keep the red one.

Cute bag!!! I am a one purse person, but I was told a woman needs several purses to match her wardrobe. For that price, I’d get a third one!
(When my kiddos say I need to keep everything, I smell a rat!! They end up raiding my shoe collection!)
I am tempted to keep both of them. I always feel guilty when I spend on myself but never hesitate to
buy things for my daughter. I have one purse which I have been using a longtime. It is time for a change.I am thinking one for me and one for DD. We can share them. All the colors they had were so pretty. I always have a hard time finding the right purse. What I really like about this one is that it is light weight and keeps everything organized. So blue tile for me and red chili for her.
I received some Cheryl’s cookies on Friday and I was home when it was delivered. The mailman threw the package against the door. When I opened the package about 3 had broken because they had become so soft in transit. I just kept them in the fridge to become solid and later had them.
I wouldn’t have been happy that the mailman did that especially if they were a gift.
