No, Abasket. My son is a member ( though I pay the membership. ) I don’t have an account in my name. I would have been a new member. And we would not have renewed son’s membership.
I am bummed about the Prime thing. We’ve been under our son’s account since he started college and when I checked the details of his account late in the winter when they had that other new member deal, it said his was good until Sept. (now) and would renew as a student. He’s no longer a student. It renewed and billed my card for full price.
Sorry! Because you said, “ours RENEWED today” I took it to mean you renewed yours! Bummer!
Thanks for the Kate Spade sale tip. Just bought DD’s birthday present!
Kate Spade? Have to check that out!! Love her designs
.
( I got that bag in cats&cream. Lol. )
I walked through the Kate Spade outlet last week. There was one customer that purchased about 8 purses in pinks and blues. I thought to myself what is she going to do with all of them.
Just so everyone knows, the Kate Spade products that are 75% off were designed for the outlet stores so they are not the same quality as the regular products, but I still liked the design of a couple of things enough to see them as good values.
I ordered 3 pairs of easy spirit shoes yesterday for $60. Well today one of the pairs was marked down an additional 25 percent off so now my total is $54. That one pair is about $12.
I ordered my son some of the Cheryl’s cookies mentioned here. He was not very impressed.
Yes, D was underwhelmed by Cheryl’s cookies and tho they promised to deliver during the week BEFORE finals, it came during finals, just before she flew home.
@HImom, I’m not complaining too much. At least I sort of got a compliment from him. He likes mom’s cookies better.
The cheryl’s cookies I ordered were 6 for $6.99 shipping included so for that price I think it was ok. It’s ok if you just want to send something small. I have never placed orders of the larger items. Nieces and nephews were happy with them.
Yes, I got the 6 for $6.99, shipping included, so thought the price was very good with the shipping and wanted them to have something special for exams. I believe I sent boxes to D and a few others in college. Since they weren’t a BIG hit, I never purchased again.
If you want $10 off your next Cheryl’s cookie purchase use COOKIE15.
It was sent to me with the cookies but I won’t be ordering anytime soon.
Agree (and mentioned previously) that Cheryl’s cookies are pretty bland and unimpressive. Corso’s arre much better. Have also sent flavored popcorn tins (those were a hit) and brownies and chocolate chip cookies (also a hit, but I forget the company)
Don’t want to dump on Cheryl’s but just a follow-up. First package I ordered 4/6 cookies broken despite intact packaging. Replacement package 2/6 broken. Tried the ones that looked ok - really mediocre taste. Still on a quest to find good bakery items to send to my college age children.
I think there is nothing like sending a package of homemade cookies from mom. A care package with all their favorite things.
MAB222, when my S was in college I found several local bakeries by googling “bakeries near XX that deliver.” I had cupcakes delivered to him several times. I know the bakery my D worked at over the summer ships non dairy products.
I’m the one who first posted about Cheryl’s back in August and sent them to my D and my nephew in college. We have gotten the frosted sugar cookies as gifts in the past and think they are yummy. I don’t know about the other cookies.

I agree but some Mom’s just aren’t bakers and maybe their kids never had a favorite cookie that Mom made. It took me a few shipments to figure out what cookies really worked well to ship. My one son’s favorite cookie is chocolate with peanut butter chips, but they broke easily and also got stale pretty quickly. I ended up adapting a shortbread recipe adding, chocolate in place of some flour, increasing the sugar and adding peanut butter chips. I think Cheryls cookies are okay, but not great. What they have going for them is convenience!
