Greenwitch, I work in Seattle and have a bunch of acquaintances who at at Amazon. Ask any white collar, I mean grey hoodie, employee in SLU, and they will tell you working for Amazon is not as bad as that stupid, sensationalist NYT piece reported.
Zappos is kept totally separately and is given full autonomy with their operations decisions.

Amazon is incredibly convenient for customers, but it comes at a price.
And I am as big a hypocrite as anyone, I use Amazon.
Those non-competes are not going to be enforceable for many, many reasons. Makes for a good sensationalist article, but it is old news⊠Someone in the legal was asleep, apparently.

Did anyone get the âfree bagel everyday in Aprilâ offer from Panera? A friend just told me about it today. I checked my account, but didnât have the offer.
Thought I would share just in case anyone out there has the offer and wasnât aware. You still have half of April to take advantage.

I checked my Panera account. I did not get the bagel offer.
My daughter has used several gift cards at Panera. I would say she goes twice a month. She didnât get anything but a reward of one free cookie for her birthday. No bagel offer over here.
I would have LOVED a cookie! I got a cup of coffee for my birthday.
I have a free pastry offer for my bday sitting there, but no bagels.
ShopRunner has two day free shipping and free returns like Amazon. While it is a paid membership, you can get 30 days free. ShopRunner includes maybe stores, including 6pm. The best part is, with a registered Amex card, membership is free.
Hmm, never heard of ShopRunner. I just went to my CVS and got 90% off Easter stuffâsome egg dyes for $.19 apiece that will be nice for next year, making it 4 egg-dying kits I have purchased for a grand total of about $1 altogether. I also bought H 12 k-cups that rarely go on sale for $6.99 in his favorite flavorâvanilla macademia nut coffee. Also bought the kids some junk food they love on sale. 
Checked my Panera email preference and they are checked correctly. Guess I am not THEIR preference!!! 
No big deal the Panera nearest me closed and I certainly donât need a bagel a day!
The reviews on ShopRunner are somewhat negative. I may consider trying it if there is something I want but you have to be a member to shop, it appears.
I actually forgot I had ShopRunner until I when to purchase something from Lord and Taylor. When I went to the shipping or payment page, it showed ShopRunner. I do not know if it recognized the credit card or what, but I was able to receive two day free shipping and free return, which I needed!
I think it is tied to the card.
I donât think I eat at Panera often enough to be rewarded. The friend who told me about it eats there at least 1x a week.
I have shop runner. My D got it and added me as a user. She uses it quite a bit and Iâve used it once with no problems.
I do not see 6pm on it though.
