What kind of battery does it use? Some bigger rechargeable Li batteries were put on the no fly list because of potential fire issues.
The manufacturers of portable O2 concentrator a are aware of the regs and have made rechargeable lithium ion batteries that are safe for planes. In fact, theyâre even used in field surgery because they donât explode, even when shotâyou just puncture the plastic shell. They concentrate out the nitrogen so that the user can breathe more concentrated O2. Passengers in the US canât fly with tanks that have O2 in them.
I mean the self-propelled suitcase.
There are a lot of details not explained in their promotional info. I would think the tech would add a significant amount of weight to the suitcase and donât see why most healthy folks need such a suitcase. I can see how it would be quite useful for folks who have paralysis or other limitations, which was why I suggested it may have medical device uses.
I was not questioning your post, HiMom. I was wondering how useful it would be to a typical flyer, which is where the big market is.
Personally, I and my family like the lightest bag that has wheels and is sturdy. This techie bag definitely has extra weight due to its bells and whistles, which I think goes against the minimalist idea that many of us prefer. I wonder why they think people want a heavier techie bag that is more likely to be damaged by rough handling, especially if it is gate-checked because there isnât enough room in the overhead bins.

Oh no, Iâm tempted again! There seem to be quite a few Insta Pot fans here⊠but do I need one? I have a slow-cooker. Can it replace that - and any other gadgets I may have?
Dump the slow cooker. The Instapot rocks. B-)
Love the tote-a-tons! A great buy on Amazon if anyone is still looking.
That is (was) the smaller Instapot, right? Iâm betting the larger size will make an appearance at a good price again before the holidays. ![]()
But if you have an Instapot (or not) - this is a good deal on a gadget that seems to be popular amongst Instapot owners! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GNUJVOQ/ref=pe_2313370_203509780_em_ti
Those Tote a Ton bags really came through when we moved D into her dorm last week. She had the two we bought stuffed to the gills and they held up beautifully. They easily held 50 pounds each. She kept them there folded up under her bed and will use them to bring home summer clothes and return with winter clothes at the semester break.
Anyone familiar with a store called Five Below? We donât have any in California (that I know of) but heard about it from a YouTube video. Everything is, well, $5 and below. Looks like a good place to hit up for miscellaneous dorm supplies? I found one sortof near D16âs campus.
We have several Five Below stores near us. Yes, everything is $5 or less. They have some fun things. I think of it more as a place for disposable teenage purchases. You might find some dorm supplies there, but I wouldnât use it as a primary source.
Bought these Cole Hahn shoes for my daughterâŠbrand newâŠfor $6!
@Mansfield online I saw things like white boards, inexpensive picture frames, some closet and desk organizing things? Here we have a store called Daiso Japan that my kids love for disposable teenage purchases.
For the longest time, I thought Five Below was a winter clothing store. I had only seen the sign. One day, I told my daughter that I was going there to look for a nice winter coat. She told me that she didnât think I would find what I wanted there. Imagine my surprise when I walked in.
@Undercovermom1 yes, thatâs what youâll find at Five Below. Its no Container Store or BBB, but if you want some cute stuff and donât expect it to last for years, youâll like this place.
Ford is offering a student discount that allows student to join Zipcar for the first year for $5. I am unable to post a link for some reason but you should be able to find it on zip carâs web site. This is our DSâs emergency transportation plan so I am happy to get it set up before it is actually needed.
Interesting concept, Zipcar. Hereâs the link - though I donât see the $5 offer (I see $15?)
