I got boxes of Papyrus Christmas card for a dollar each. I am cutting down my list, so at first I was not getting them, but I decided I’d spent three buck on worse things than Christmas cards, so now I have some for next year.

Just a reminder. Be aware of each stores price adjustment policies. I bought three very nice sweaters from Macy’s this weekend at what I thought was a great deal and today I saw them on limited special for a lower price. I emailed them for a price adjustment and got credited $15 back to my account.

Just bought my tin of over 4 pounds of Walker shortbread at Costco—Kirkland for only $20! Also bought 2 thermal metal water bottles there for $13! Of course lunch was 1/2 of the huge hotdog and drink, split with H!

I went to TJ Maxx to buy large gift bags. They were $2.99 and $3.99. We needed 7 - 8. At the check-out my husband spotted recyclable sturdy pretty shopping bags with Christmas theme for $0.99 each. Wow! I immediately put 4 gift bags back and got 4 of these! Huge price difference, and they’re terrific. Love the fact they are recyclable. Nieces can use them to store x mas items for next year: balls, garland, and the like. 99 cents each! Cheaper than paper bags too and more durable!!!

I use those bags all the time and keep a few in the car. I love bagging my stuff from Costco right from the cart, into those bags, and then into the trunk. No more boxes to schlepp around and then recycle. Easier to carry too.
Just an FYI, Wegman’s also has nice recyclable Christmas bags too. Right in front of the cash registers.
So yesterday I went to Sprouts to pick up fruit, veggies and flowers. I a doi g some remodeling and the decorator commented the other day that she loves how we always have fresh flowers in the house. So, I decided in addition to picking up a dozen roses for the house, I’d pick up a dozen for the decorator too, as a holiday gift for her (and I had picked up lunch salads for the 2 of us as she was coming at noon). I had a $10 off $50 coupon and the total came to $53, so that worked ( revised total was now $43 plus they give you a small credit if you bring your own recyclable bags, and I had 4 to use).
But the better thing was that the flowers of one of the dozen roses I picked had started to open a bit (mine die before they open half the time anyway) but I asked if they ever did any price adjustment for flowers that are perhaps getting a little age on them (the dozen I had for the decorator were fine). Well, long story short, the clerk asked me to read her the code on the bag covering the flowers. They ended in “13” which apparently meant they were “expiring” that day, sooo… the 2 dozen roses were… free!!!
@jym626, good roses story. I am sure they pleased your decorator. My question is: how did you get the $10 off coupon at Sprouts? I have not seen them.
The $10 coupons are often in our Wednesday paper. Yep, still get a paper delivered. Wednesday at Sprouts is Double Deal day, you get the sale price from last wednesday’s sale flyer and from this weeks.
What @twoinanddone said. We cancelled the paper after many decades, but they ended up working with us on the price (now if they could fix the delivery and customer service problems…). We like to hold the paper and I do like to get the Weds grocery ads.
Anyone have a promo code for Macy’s? I have a coat in my on-line basket and can’t find any current reward point cards.
