Re: Macy’s, try SHOP which is supposed to get you 20% off in select departments. If not, just wait. Knowing Macy’s they’ll be running some kind of discount before holiday shopping is done.
SHOP didn’t work. I don’t live real close to the store and I’m worried that if I don’t nab this coat now the size/color will be sold out or get here after Christmas and since my son lives on the wrong coast (JK), I want it for the day. May have to break down and go to the mall. ugh.
If the item at Macy’s is a limited special the coupon codes are not going to work.
@twoinanddone and @jym626 Thank you for the $10 coupon information. DH shop at Sprouts every week but he never uses such coupon so I will need to see if it’s available to our area.
I have a coat in my Macy’s shopping cart too and since it i a Columbia, nothing is working as a coupon. I can get ebates for 6%, and free shipping, but that’s it. I’ll wait them out.
Buy it through mrrebates ( pm me and Ill send you a link and we can both benefit) and you will get money back
Macys is currently giving a 6% cashback on mrrebates,
and there are other sale links there too (for macys on mrrebates)
If you sign up for Thanks For Sharing with Macy’s, it applies to nearly all purchases, I’ve been told. I’m not sure it it works with other coupons as well.
But that ‘thanks for sharing’ costs $25
If it is something like a Columbia coat which is probably available other places, I’d hunt around. Many places are discounting right now.
Today is supposed to be free shipping for many retailers.
I already have a mrrebates account, but thanks for the offer @jym626 . I ended up going through ebates buying a couple more things and getting something of a discount. If a better offer comes up before Christmas, I’ll call 'em up!
On a different goodbuy question, has anyone bought the Costco offered moviepass? https://www.costco.com/MoviePass-and-Fandor-12-Month-Subscription-eVoucher.product.100395930.html My husband really doesn’t like going to the movies and I don’t think I would go enough alone to get my moneys worth, but might be a good gift for my kids. Any thoughts? We already have netflix, amazon and acorn subscriptions so the on-line option doesn’t seem needed either.
A friend has Moviepass…loves it. Smartphone required to use…
Costco has 12-month subscription to MoviePass and Fandor bundle for $89.99. Just bought four.
I was able to use the Kohl’s coupon for a Columbia coat there a couple years ago.
Took son snowboarding today at the local ski resort - since he is still 12 for another month or so and it was after 2 pm his Jr all access ticket only cost me $15. It was opening day and only the main slopes were open but he is a novice snowboarder with only a year under his belt so it wasn’t a big deal. He usually sticks to those slopes anyway.
Since we were almost halfway there I decided we should go to our favorite local cheese store about 15 miles in the opposite direction from home. I wanted to pick up some local cheeses and summer sausage to serve to my DD’s fiancee on Sunday for their visit. While checking out I spied a half gallon tin of local maple syrup on a “dented container” special for only $22. I walked over and found that the non-dented containers were selling for $40 so I turned back around and snagged the dented can right up! I will portion it out in Mason jars to give as nice holiday gifts to family.
Was just able to upgrade seats on a flight over the holiday from the main cabin to first class for $20 per seat.
I don’t know for sure if this is an across the chain thing but if you have the grocery store Kroger check your Kroger app and download an offer for half off all holiday candy if you purchase $20 worth of groceries. Was able to pick up all the candy for cookie baking (Hershey kisses, Reeses, stocking stuffers, office candy, and candy that I use to help decorate cookie plates for friends/neighbors for 1/2 off the already sale price. Through this weekend.
Does anyone else use Raise? If you double up by buying sale gift cards (electronic) and also using ebates/others, you can get quite a bit off.
