It is both, dos, sadly. The Ground folks are notorious for breaking things. The regular FedEx drivers lose stuff.
It is all regional, I guess. I hear a lot of moaning about USPS on CC, but here they ran a decent operation.

Back to good buys. Got a pair of Valentino pumps 75% off from Yoox. A major clearance was going on this week!
greenwitch, If she ordered Prime the easiest thing for her to do is go and buy it somewhere else
on her time schedule and return the Amazon hitch when it arrives.
Also, complain to Amazon.
Iāve had similar experiences with late deliveries of things purchased on Amazon Prime. Every time Iāve complained to them theyāve extended my Prime subscription by one month.
I got 150 brushed silver beaded charger plates at BBB for $1.33 each. They came in packages of 6 and I really would have needed 25 coupons to get 20% off on all of themā¦but they gave me the 20% off on all. Free shipping to my house too.
One more thing off the to do list for DDs wedding!
Woot, Thumper! Such a score! You can resell for a nice profit or let them be the wedding favor!
I think the venue will buy them.
I am weirded out by internet shopping for contacts, I can get on the same site for the same product from different launches and get a difference of $20 on an order. So Slate knows I have searched for Accuvuewhatever, and gives me a link to them in a certain site, but in the āsameā site/product page that I have open from google shopping is $10 cheaper per box LOL. I havenāt really ever noticed this before for other products. Usually I bought them from Costco but it seems pricing has really become much more competitive. I have no shame in saving a few bucks here or there. Three cheapest sites had 3 very different end prices when factoring in handling and some change for shipping. They obviously expect a level of boredom in their average shoppers LOL. If all web shopping starts to look this it will be easier to go to the store.
Like gold toe socks? Get thee to your nearest outlet stores and go to the gold toe sock store. I stopped in and got several pairs for $14- 70% off! The salesperson said they were closing all the gold toe outlet stores at the end of the month. I felt bad for the sales guy. He was really nice and wasnāt sure what he would do.
Wow, 70% off is great!
Oops, not 70. It was 75%
I booked a round trip ticket from Miami to Copenhagen for my daughter and I for her spring break in early March. The cost for each of us was $299.98 total including taxes!
Walkinghome, are the Gold Toe socks made in China, or elsewhere?
2 pairs of black NYDJ jeans for $48 each on Boscovs.com using code SHOP15OFF. It looks like it might just be these particular jeans in Petite (Marilyn) but since I prefer to wear black jeans to the office in the winter instead of dress pants (jeans are warmer) these will be quite nice. Petites are not usually so easy to get on sale and black is even rarer.
OOh I had a good deal today! I ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon recently, including a little fingertip towel holder to put in the main floor bathroom. It was wobbly, and the bottom was covered with a felt thing so I couldnt get in to tighten the screw underneath that held the rod to the base. I called amazon to ask about replacing it (as I went through the steps on the website it looked like I had to get a refund and repurchase, and I just wanted to exchange. Anyway, the customer service lady said I should keep the towel holder AND she would refund my $11.99 to my credit card. I just got the confirmation that that the funds were refunded to my account. So, they gave me the towel holder for free. PRobably cheaper than their paying to return my item and res hip a new one to me. Oh, and DH was able to delicately peel off the base felt and fix the towel holder!
@MomCat2 - Gold Toe is made in the USA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Toe_Brands
@jym626 Iāve had that experience twice with Amazon! Great service!
Most recently, I ordered a POP Vinyl NBA figure of Giannis for son for Christmas. When it arrived, the packing box was fine, but the box for the figure was creased and a little bowed out. Since I didnāt know if son would want it as a collectable, I initiated the return with the intent to re-order. They told me to go ahead and keep one in the damaged box and then they sent me one in a mint condition box. Son was thrilled to have one to unbox for his dorm room and one to keep at home in the box for a collectable!
@uwalummom,
This was a nice surprise, to let me keep the item and they credited me for it! I think one other time something came defective or squished or something, and I had to toss it. They sent a replacement at no charge, and didnt require me to return whatever it was (it was useless anyway).
I have found that when you call them about the 2 day prime issue (if the item isnāt going to make it in 2 days) they sometimes double talk-- once they said it was guaranteed to ship within two days but no guarantee when it would arrive. Another time they said it was guaranteed to arrive in 2 days once it shipped. Wrong. I was persisted and got the typical 1 mo extension on my account that they offer to appease the customer, but recently I had a CS person almost screw up an order and cancel it when I did NOT want it cancelled. They did end up refunding my money (it was going to be late, and the store was going to be out of stock) and then she tried to tell me I ordered it in pink (I ordered grey). It was frustrating., and the refund she gave she was only willing to put on an Amazon giftcard, so I had to use it on an item sold by amazon.
I recently ended my relationship with Amazon. They tried to give me a one month prime extension, but it was too little too late for their CS department. I wonder if this will save me money in the long run, lol, since Iāll likely mail order a lot less.
Iām very happy with my Amazon relationship - both as a Prime customer and stockholder.
