I’m very happy with Amazon as a Prime customer and streaming viewer, stockholder, and parent of employee .
I just ordered coffee from Amazon and the wrong type was sent. I did the online chat and they told me to keep the wrong one and they credited my account in full so I could reorder the correct one, which came two days later. I rarely have any issue with them and feel the free delivery and streaming video are worth it for us.
Where else can I order a bath mat and a pill box at 3 a.m. with the click of a button
^^many places. Bed, bath and beyond comes to mind first.
Neuskes bacon for $1.59/pound. I now have 20 pounds of bacon!
i had a fun afternoon shopping at a Dillards Clearance Center in another nearby state. All womens blouses & mens long sleeved shirts were 90% off clearance price - which was 65% off originally. so 97% off basically!!! bought shirts for DH & DSs & for a homeless place we volunteer at.; Bought several cute pieces for me, daughters & sister. NICE pieces! Averaged around $2/ a piece. some brands included timberland, calvin, columbia, sigrid olson, Lauren, miss me, eileen fischer.
that unexpected sale was the most fun i’ve had in years!
Stop&Shop has the new Hershey’s Gold (Peanut and Pretzel) on sale 2/$2. I had 4 .50/1 coupons which made them free, as they double coupons. I was pleasantly surprised that the took and additional $2 off when we buy 4 of them, so it was a $2 moneymaker! Being paid to take candy bars - does it get any better?
@bhbh4us, Eileen Fisher? You got some great deals!
About to make some large home purchases, likely at Macy’s, using their Red special. Anyone have any other add on promos I can use?
Macy’s no longer stacks promos and coupons. In fact, I can rarely use even one coupon anymore. Anything on clearance is now out for coupons.
I used to get pretty good deals, but now not so much. I got some fleece lined socks for Christmas gifts that were $19.50 original, and I think were $10 just before Christmas. Weeks later they were $7.74 as the final markdown. In the olden days, I know I could have couponed them down to $5.
All sweaters at the thrift store were $.99 today, so 9 new sweaters for $9.29.
Thanks, twoinanddone, I am not a big shopper, normally, and I know y’all are on top of things. I will be applying the RED promotion and CouponCabin and wanted to be sure there was nothing else I should do.
Oh, I did buy something from Macy’s last fall and activated a $30 cashback on retailmenot, it worked.
I cannot even attempt to shop at Kohls, I would always feel like a failure at coupon maximization!
If you get a new Macy’s card, that can be stacked with other promotions for the day you get the new CCard and the next day.
Costco had spiral cut hams at $10 off, so an 8 lb ham ($2/lb =$16) was $6. I bought 2.
Before I run right out to Costco, do you know if that was a Manger’s Special or is it company-wide, @twoinanddone ?
Yes—I am close to Costco and would be interested if it’s a special at most stores.
It was on a white tag with a bar code above the product, and came up on the register without the clerk having to do anything. I was surprised it worked on 2 items, but I checked and it didn’t say limit one so I went for two!
If it helps, here is the code it used on my receipt: 0000182538/26159
I wouldn’t have seen it if the guy giving samples (ironically, of Veggie Bites so we started talking about meat) hadn’t pointed it out. Then I couldn’t find the hams, saw one in a cart and asked where she’d found them. The lady started gushing about the good deal. They are the Kirkland brand in the red shiny wrappers, probably left over from the holidays.
I just went over to Costco right before closing time. I got the Kirkland spiral ham just as described above but it was only $3 off at my Costco. It was $1.99/lb @10lb then $3 off . So I paid around $17. Not as a good deal as @twoinanddone Costco but I bought it anyway.
And the ham was $6 off at my Costco! I found the smallest, so got a $14 (7 lb) ham for $8. Just split it up into 6 packages plus the bone for the freezer. There are just two of us at home. Can’t beat a meal for two for $1.25!
The Good Buy Of The Day thread just keeps on giving…
