Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

The dress I bought that I’ll probably wear to my DS’s wedding was full price when I bought it, but the sales clerk gave me her 15% discount. Today it went on sale for 30% off. Its just a day or 2 outside of the “price adjustment within 10 days” window and their website says they wont do it if a coupon was already used, but I went to the store and a different clerk immediately price adjusted it for me to give me the additional 15% off . And then I met a friend for lunch and she picked up the tab  Good day

Oh and I picked up another evening gown/dress last week that won’t work for DS’s wedding but it fit well and was a petite (hard to find) - it was 65% off!

Went through the pharmacy drive-through yesterday to pick up a new prescription. No charge. When I asked why, the clerk said, “Your insurance covers this one.” Okaaaayyyy… I drove off quickly.

@ChoatieMom , that reminded me of the Ikea commercial – Start the Car!!

That happened to me a few weeks ago - no charge for my generic Crestor. Iirc, before I paid $10 for 90 pills.

Happens to me at the end of the calendar year.

Our insurer is interesting. Often if it’s a 90 day supply of a maintenance Rx, it’s free or a very nominal charge. If you only get a 30 day supply (or anything less than 90 days), it’s more. It works for me, and our pharmacy is fine with running the order several ways to find the lowest out-of-picket for the patient.

I have never done a drive-thru pharmacy, but can see how they are useful, especially in bad weather.

Or when you are really sick or have a sick kid in the car.

It is important to double-check that you have the Rx in the name, strength and quantity you’re supposed to get before driving off. I’ve gotten wrong Rx, wrong dose and wrong quantity many times over the years, which is why I am very careful.

Lots of Lilly Pulitzer at TJ Maxx today - dresses $39, tops $29

I just got back from the Apple Store to replace my battery. Apparently the battery in my old phone was swelling and couldn’t be replaced, so they sold me a brand new iphone 6 for the $29.99 battery replacement fee. Those go for over $300 now and my phone was several years old. Happy, happy.

Saks special occasion dress event is on. 25% off certain styles. Prom shoppers, wedding guests, anyone in need of a fancy frock…

Went to the mall in Nashville (2 hours from me) yesterday while in town visiting D. Found that Apple store is closed for expansion/renovation and won’t be open until October. Must develop new strategy for getting my $29 battery!

Windshield wiper blades are only $4.99/apiece at Costco, $3 off. Woot! While supplies last! They had the 3 different lengths I need for my car and my blades are starting to squeal and streak, so time to replace.

Along the same lines, our Costco had new to them product - Chobani yogurt, unsweetened whole milk in large containers. Intro price - two for one, $4.69. It is awesome with berries.

^ funny I just bought that Chobani Greek yogurt - they sampled with agave syrup - will try with berries - two for &4.69 !

Isn’t Chobani quite thick? Just asking because I prefer NOT too thick.

@abasket Costco’s whole milk Chobani Greek yogurt is much less thick than ■■■é.

@abasket Chobani is thick Greek style yogurt- it’s made with whole milk and 25% Daily recommended calcium. Added some jar mangos ( bought first time ) and blueberries and was delicious!

Yes, I’m a fan of plan whole milk yogurt (Stonyfield) but greek isn’t usually my thing…maybe they will have some on samples!
