A big Baggu fan and their summer sale started today. I’ve been replacing my old, old reusable bags with more of these - so compact! I also have some of their crossbody bags
Not only is pricing and discounting insidious, but the quality of many items has decreased notably in the last couple/few years.
I think that’s happening everywhere (decreased quality). S figured this out about jiggering prices when he was in 2nd grade and had mini-society day—raise prices and have a “sale.” He was able to net the most “money” of the entire grade.
He now runs a profitable online business decades later, as he’s done since he was in college.
Just bought a Minus33 midweight mock turtleneck @10% off, with free shipping. It’s 100% wool and the other shirt I bought of this brand washed great in the machine, including drying on delicate in dryer on low heat. Normally $90, $81 plus tax with discount.
Mmm, Tillamook ice cream $4.99, at my local supermarket. Now, if I can manage not to eat all 48 oz. over the weekend…
Hit clearance at Walmart as it was being put on shelf! 10 piece kitchenaid cookware set for $40. Still 130 at other stores.
Made my first ThredUp purchase. Was pleased to not pay shipping, I think a deal for new customers (?)
Background - I’d been on the hunt to replicate my old Nike Dri Fit running jacket, bought years ago on ebay. I really like it, but the zipper had become troublesome. Was willing to possibly pay full price if I found exactly what I wanted (zip pockets, thumbhole sleeves, hood, high zip-up neck). Or buy used at ARC thrift shop…but never found one that ticked all the boxes.
I don’t want to start a stampede, but Whole Foods, for prime members, is having an incredible sale on ice cream (Jeni’s, Ben &Jerry, talenti). They are half price or even better. I paid $2.88 for talenti, $2.64 for B&J and $4.13 for Jeni’s. I do not need all this ice cream in my house!
ETA- has anyone had Van Leeuwen ice cream? Opinion?
@jym626 I like the pistachio, the affogato was okay. I bought another flavor malted milk but haven’t tried it yet. My garage freezer has been restocked with ice cream.
How long is the sale? We can’t get there until Sunday!
Whole Foods ice cream sale ends 7/15.
I recently shopped HerRoom for a new tankini since my favorite one is stretching out. I found a final sale, same brand, same size, for $45, which was fair since the full retail on Fantasie’s own web site is $120. No bottoms in my size unfortunately. I also saw a Bali bra on sale which looked interesting (DF3W11) so I bought it too. I had to pay shipping but got 10% off the order.
I found a matching bottom on eBay for $15 from a highly rated consolidator so now have a full swimsuit at a reasonable cost.
The Bali bra is SO COMFORTABLE that I went online looking for another and found a flash sale at Bali’s website for half off plus free shipping. And found a 20% discount code MORBID (so strange but it worked). So the $48 bra became $21.
Rite Aid store closing sale. 90% off gift cards/bags, wrap, stickers. Total of goods was $220…my final charge was $19.73. I bought tons of wedding, shower, baby, thank you and sympathy cards. Some of the cards were the really nice Papyrus cards that were originally $8.99–I got for $.90 each.
Found son a great deal on an espresso machine for his wife.
Normal price 900, and Macy’s of all places was offering 20% off. Other sites wouldn’t match that good a deal. Plus I had a $50 off code from Macy’s. He couldn’t take his Rakuten discount (10%) because site said it was out of stock when he tried, but I was able to order, and it’s still a really good deal.
I hope you used Rakuten.
We were able to get FREE appleTV until 1/31/2026 today with t-mobile—yay! Canceled right away and still have it free thru 1/31/2026.
See original post. By the time he finally went to order it they said out of stock, but I had it in my cart and I could order it. So he got my 50 off, but not the 70 or so he would have gotten through Rakuten.
You can add Rakuten often as a pop up when you are on the store account on your computer, or simply go to Rakuten after you have an item in your cart and log into the store account from Rakuten, and the item will still be in your cart and ready for purchase. Ask me how I know.
