Waking Ned Devine

Can I play some more?
Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss in “What About Bill?” I think that is the title.

Okay, can we try to think of shows that are available for streaming on Netflix? :(

How about Strictly Ballroom? It’s showing up when I inquire about one of the above.

Agree with many of the ones already mentioned, but thought I’d add a new one:

“It’s Complicated” - especially the scene where they’re all stoned, and even more so,
the LAPTOP scene! - don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in a movie.

Loved the mention of the jetpack scene in Sleeper - “g-dammed Japanese flying machine!” was the line, IIRC. Also the beauty pageant scene, and of course when he comes out of the Orgasmatron.

Another vote for Dodgeball and There’s Something about Mary, here.

I would add:
-Talladega Nights
-Porky’s: Raunchy, but the “tallywhacker” scene in the principle’s office may be the funniest moment in any movie, ever.
-The Birdcage

I know there are more but I can’t think of them right now.

In our house, the holy trinity of funny movies is: Caddyshack, Airplane, and Anchorman. Whenever anyone is in a bad or sad mood, we just pull out one of these and start howling. It never gets old.

Agreed. Its the funniest show on tv.

Another vote for Something About Mary.

Don’t remember laughing so hard at anything else. And I love comedy.

I love love “Strictly Ballroom” - one of my all time favorites. The humor is decidedly different from American humor though.

It astounds me that the same person who made “Strictly Ballroom” could make the abominable “Moulin Rouge.”

I also forgot about “Swingers.” That movie is money.

A New Leaf with Walter Mathau was wonderful. I also love Support Your Local Sheriff. Airplane! always makes me laugh.

The Big Bang Theory is our current favorite comedy. I always look forward to that show. Frasier was one of the funniest shows ever on tv. I would laugh myself sick watching it. My Dad loved the early Beverly Hillbillies shows. He would laugh until he cried.

There is still nothing to compare to the “Who’s on First?” routine by Abbott and Costello. I could watch in everyday and just roar.

“Big Bang Theory” fan too but nothing makes me laugh like “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” I have to rewind constantly because I miss so much while laughing.

As Good As it Gets - Jack Nicholson

Dumb and Dumber

If we can include TV shows I vote for Barney Miller.

They’re raunchy and juvenile, but the American Pie movies always make me laugh.

" Planes, Trains and Automobiles "—driving on the wrong side of highway
“The Gods Must Be Crazy”—stuffing the banana plants into the guns

Agree with previous votes of Arthur, My Favorite Year, Blazing Saddles. Add Monty Python’s Meaning of Life, Mel Brooks’ History of the World Part 1, and Woody Allen’s Everything Youi wanted to Know About Sex But were afraid to ask.

I’m with srw: Waiting for Guffman

I like all of the Vacation movies. DH likes Scary Movie 2.

We both watch and enjoy The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon lives at our house in a female body.

One of my favorite lines is from City Slickers: “We’ll jump off that bridge when we come to it.”

I recently was on a LONG plane ride. Watched:

Something about Mary

Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation (pretty stupid),

Horrible Bosses

All were pretty darn funny.

I also really like MOST of Adam Sandler’s movies, and most of Mel Brooks…with my personal favorite being Robin Hood Men in Tights.

Paying3tuitions, by Danny Kaye movies do you mean the vessel with the pestle or the flagon with the dragon for the brew that is true?
