Your Username

Couldn’t find a thread like this so I decided to make this one.

Why is your username the way it is? Does it mean something? Is there a backstory to it?

You first.

Mine’s pretty simple-I live in South Seattle and I’m a mom. There are some names here that I’ve always been curious about. I hope they’ll share.

mine is a combination of the first letters of each of our first names and then the first letter of each of our hyphenated last names.

This is a ten year old thread about screen names. I know there was one started more recently…but I can’t seem to find it.

Here is another one:

I’m European and I ski

Interesting, I thought from the screen name you like to ski in Europe.

Why should I, when you did not?

@DrGoogle Technically true

Mine is pretty simple–I have 2 kids attending schools in Claremont (Scripps and Harvey Mudd)

Okay okay. My name, long, is Sturmgeschütz which is some type of German tank.

Mine is simple enough, I am not an engineer. Nor will I ever be, since I am not studying engineering or intending to anymore.

So…yeah, mine lacked some foresight on my part.

@sseamom - I always thought your name had something to do with the South Seas… Mine had to do with trudging onward towards finding the right college for my d’s. Pretty boring now.

Maybe we should have a thread what your username is and what username you wish you had.

Well, mine is an oxymoron since I am neither nerdy nor a parent.
Right.

I made up my screen name the day I learned S2 had been accepted Early Decision at his first choice.

When I registered my HS daughter was in a period of calling everything I said annoying. She grew out of it and now realizes I’m the world’s foremost authority on everything. Yeah, right. She grew out of it but I made up the second part.

^^ If I recall correctly, there was a mother on here who was frustrated about her son and her username was angry mom or something. lol

Mine refers to my son- he wasn’t the easiest. 10 years or so later he still isn’t.

Mine is a long dead pet dog.
