Sorry if I seem pessimestic, but I don’t really see the point in them sending out the acceptances individually or in smaller batches as there are only 32.

I’m pretty sure more people have recieved their decisions, but they just aren’t on this forum/ haven’t checked yet. Last year, all acceptances where sent out in one batch.
@IStudyPhysics I’m just surprised that this year, the forum thread isn’t as active as last year’s, and that only one of us here (so far) has received an acceptance.

Actually, the applicant pool most likely went down, as they no longer accept rising juniors.

@thhxxxx Yeah it said 20-30% get off the waitlist so that’s not awful.
Hey kids I’m an alumni too along with the other two dinguses. I got off the waitlist so don’t feel too worried yet. I will recommend steeling yourselves for college decisions next year tho bc the earlier u get used to emotional pain the easier Ivy Day will go!

To the contrary of a previous comment made, I recommend going to as many of the boot camp sessions as you possibly can. There is technically a minimum but in our experience it will be much more beneficial to go to as many as possible. You will need the stuff you learn for your research project and if you don’t get a strong footing early on you will lose valuable time playing catchup. Also get used to doing Psets cuz ur gonna b rushing to make the midnight deadlines quite a bit

also i might decline this offer cuz I might choose to do some volunteering + internship over this since YSPA is pretty expensive and time consuming…so that’s one more spot on the waitlist lol
