Does anyone know if Duke has closed their wait list?

Adding JHU. Slightly over-enrolled but taking 10 off their waitlist to cover summer melt.

I am amazed that there isn’t massive musical chairs going on with so many kids who applied to so many colleges and had multiple admissions.

US Coast Guard Academy is going to what they call their “short list” for a few spots in the Class of 2015.

University of Miami is done with their waitlist for this year.

Has anyone heard anything about the current status of the Vanderbilt waitlist? Thanks

According to this post ( http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-william-mary/1155645-waitlist.html#post12719583</a> ), W & M has taken a handful of students off its waitlist and is emailing waitlisted students that they don’t anticipate taking more, though they’re offering the option to remain on a final waitlist until August 1st. They never announced that they were going to the waitlist, but some students have been admitted.

Northwestern over-enrolled again by 100 students and it’s safe to assume their waitlist has been closed.

Barnard is not going to their waitlist. Girls are getting emails. See the Barnard threads.

Tufts announced it is finished and the wait list is closed.

Friend’s son admitted off waitlist at Embry-Riddle last week.

I know somebody that got admitted to Yale off the waitlist last week.

My son was accepted off the Berklee School of Music a couple of weeks ago.

My daughter got a letter from Bowdoin yesterday saying they are done with the waitlist and only took a few.

And my same daughter got an email from Cornell today saying she was guaranteed admission by Transfer next year into the CALS college. Still waiting for communication from Bates’ waitlist and we’ll be able to move on!

Looks like Columbia is mostly done with their waitlist. My daughter was released this week from the Columbia College waitlist, but the some threads on the Columbia board show that some students have been placed on an extended waitlist (what does that mean?!?) even though Columbia classes are full. Seems like a big tease. I am glad my daughter has been released so she can continue to focus on the university that she is attending.

^ “I am glad my daughter has been released so she can continue to focus on the university that she is attending.”

I completely understand and agree. When D was WL at 4 schools, she told one of them she would stay on until their last deadline (Aug 1). It would have made for slow torture if she’d had to wait that long. It’s hard to live your life in limbo.

looks like Washington Univ in St. Louis is finished

To the poster who asked about Duke: I believe they’re done.

As another student that was on 4 WLs, I can definitely say that it was a huge relief to finally be able to let go.
