<p>You don’t need to be an Elk member to receive a scholarship. I think a lot of us here aren’t members (myself included).</p>

<p>Mine’s moving on to regional. I was surprised to get the letter actually; I figured they’d picked someone else.</p>
<p>Recieved an email from my local lodge saying I got 2nd place for boys division ($500) and will be moving to the next “plateau of judging”. Exciting! Does anyone know if there is a district scholarship? Or is there only national after this?</p>

<p>I called our lodge and they said my son won 2nd place, but haven’t gotten an official email or letter yet.</p>

<p>My daughter moved on from local to district. I emailed the Elks National Website and they told me districts have until the end if January to complete their judging. So I would think local winners should hear something from districts within a few weeks.</p>

<p>The guy who runs the scholarship at my local lodge is NEVER there. I’ve been trying to contact him for 3 weeks.</p>

but still have not heard from my local office about a local scholarship. Are they gaurunteed for someone who made it to states/national?</p>
