That link seems a little recursive there, @ucbalumnus.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/2069019-uc-berkeley-class-of-2022-waitlisted-applicants-thread.html#latest should be the correct link.

Carnegie Mellon is full for all schools, unless summer melt. Same for Case Western and Tulane.

UChicago now closed.

Yes, DD got an email saying UChicago waitlist closed.

A reddit user is reporting that their GC told them that Yale is over capacity and will be using the waitlist very little or not at all.

UC Berkeley: civil engineering majors admitted from waitlist reported in http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/2069019-uc-berkeley-class-of-2022-waitlisted-applicants-thread.html#latest (in addition to previously reported divisions/majors)

Sorry on phone can’t copy entire list. Daughter just got an email
From MIT. No one will be admitted off the waitlist this year. :(.

Washington & Lee has sent emails to waitlisted kids stating that they do not expect to to use the waitlist this year

Gettysburg also sent email saying they can’t admit anymore students due to the high number of first-year and returning students.

So pulling together above announcements, here are the schools that have announced they have closed the waitlist unless they have higher than anticipated summer melt:

Carnegie Mellon
Case Western
Gettysburg
MIT
Tulane
UChicago
Washington & Lee

CMU should come off of the open waitlists list.

What’s happening with Harvard and Princeton? Any ideas?

Removing Caltech. Poster on the Caltech waitlist thread said son called admissions, which said they have not yet taken anyone from the waitlist and don’t yet know if they will. So, earlier 2nd hand report was incorrect.

From Wake Forest University last week: “As May 1 has now come and gone, we know that many students are anxious to learn whether we will be admitting additional students off of our active wait list. Our enrollment deposits have exceeded our projections. Unless summer cancellations exceed our expectations, we will not be utilizing our wait list.”

I just got an email from Penn State telling me that even though May 1 has passed that my daughter can still accept her offer of admission (I thought she had formally declined but apparently she had not). I wonder if that is an indication that they may go to the wait list.

Princeton is closed. All done.

Notre Dame waitlist for the class of 2022 is closed. A total of 20 admission offers have been made to waitlisted students with a decision date of 05/15/2018.

Columbia is on the list, above, but I heard they had not started with their waitlist yet. Where does that info. come from?
